Id say a fair assessment of HF boards is 95% of users are nowhere close in their trade predictions and value of certain players in the trade market.

The package will include Chytil and then some. Buchnevich+Chytil+Robertson/Kravtsov+2022 1st

In fairness, while Kakko may have a higher ceiling than pld, he’s certainly far less proven right now.

Not saying I’d like that trade, but it’s a not unrealistic price.

PLD is great, he'd fit in here really well...

I'd wait that one out though. I want to see what Chytil does over a full season. He probably won't be as productive as PLD, but if you can get most of PLD's production at half the price, that upgrade doesn't become necessary.

A disgruntled Eichel? Different story.

Eichel is a 1C and worth those assets for sure. PLD is not.

I also think that if the Rangers land PLD it's because they see him as the heir to Zibanejad, not a guy who slots in behind him for the next 7 years. You don't put 3-4 pieces on the table for a high end #2 center. Especially when you have enough firepower on the wings to prop up a passable pivot like Strome.

If you move Chytil for PLD, you're probably looking at trading Zibanejad for a Chytil++ in the near term. Shuffling the pieces around to add a high-end center who can possibly produce like Zib but is heading into his prime as opposed to his 30's.

I don't see how you can keep Mika past two years. If there's an opportunity to get an Eichel, or maybe PLD, who are much younger, you need to go with the younger guy. I don't see paying Mika well into his 30s. With the dead money going away and Smith's contract ending you could get one year with Mika AND his replacement.

Yup bad hockey players generally get top 6 mins, PP time, pk time and 9 mill over 2 years. Strome eats your hate for breakfast and craps out 20 mins a game just for your viewing pleasure.

I am. G deserves the next start unless we're going to commit to a season long platooning system. Question is that if G starts again, have we hurt Shestyorkin's confidence or will it motivate him knowing he's in for a fight for the #1 role?

He played like trash and then became a distraction and got disciplined for it and it worked for the Rangers in the critical next game. This no different than Trotz calling out Clutterbuck for not controlling his shot in warm up.
