I have this bad feeling we’re gonna let Strome walk, sign Turris to cheaper deal and try him at 2C. I’m also not sure Savant isn’t onto something... Hinostroza could be signed as bottom six depth for dirt cheap and end up on Panarin’s wing like Fast.

Panarin - Turris - Hinostroza... I’m not hoping for it, but I won’t be shocked to see it.
If Strome walks and If we are signing guys off the street to play on a line with Panarin rather then trying Chytil or Howden first then we got big problems. You have to start giving players a chance they aren’t just gonna wake up next Tuesday or in a year from now and be a 2c. Let they try first, if they aren’t ready they move them down the line up and address it but sooner or later our guys are gonna have to start getting minutes

think if we were gonna offer Vegas Lundqvist it would have to be glass coming back our way. Glass has higher potential then Krebs and doesn’t have the nasty injury history. Krebs is a fine prospect but I see him more as a 2 or 3 real good C while glass is a notch above. Just like nils could have 1st pair potential. Just my two cents.

OT how bout that guy offering suter zuc and greenway for Kravtsov?? Was he all liquored up from draft night or what??

Too early to say which one is better, but Glass is recovering from a partial ACL tear.

Cuylle seems to be in that same direction of creating a team that's hard to play against. More size. Bottom six power forward with a decent shot.

Shame about Lias, but this was the best outcome for us. Recoup what you can for a situation that was doomed for a while now. I'm still convinced that they tried their damnedest to get into the top 5 that year for either Pettersson or Glass, couldn't make a deal work, so they got the 7th pick and hoped that one of those guys fell there. When they went consecutively at 5 and 6, it was a scramble for the next best C on their board and I'm guessing they were split on a few guys.

I typically give teams and players the benefit of the doubt over fans, but this was just a bad situation made worse by everyone involved. Lias did nothing to justify being an NHL player and acted like he was deserving of a top 6 role from the start. And without knowing all the details, it sounds like the Rangers may not have treated him with the respect he either deserved or expected in his short time here. Hopefully Cuylle can be a contributor in the future...enough so to help us forget about this disaster of a pick.

That’s a fine return tbh
. Absolutely. Dont know why some are acting like we got nothing Especially after his value obviously got shredded this past year or so. Bottom line is he wasn’t going to work out here and we get a pretty decent prospect. Much better than what we fit for Mcilrath which was nothing

I hope Clark is here for eternity just to hear you whine more.

Yep. I'll be here whining still when whiffing on this pick comes back to haunt us in 10 years just like being the only team to not come away with an elite talent in 2003 cost us a Cup in 2012-14.

. Well to be fair we traded most of them

There were some damn good players we missed out on between drafting Thomas, Nieves, Halverson and Gropp.

Tyler Toffoli, Jason Zucker, Brendan Gallagher, COLTON PARAYKO, BRAYDEN POINT, JACCOB SLAVIN.
