I know we are hoping Strome nets a 2nd but with so many players being bought out, not qualified or set to be UFA, combined with the flat cap and financial uncertainty I dont see a team paying up.

I can't see how all the reports indicating that they are or might be willing to completely walk away help his trade value either.

haven't heard his name out there but got to think Ducks would be willing to move Getzlaf. What do you guys think about Strome + D'Angelo to Ducks for Getzlaf and a good prospect/young player? Only 1 year left on Getzlaf deal, guy can still play. Him and Kreider would be unreal together on a line.

Sergachev lives a very sheltered life behind Hedman and McDonagh. We don't really have a good idea how good (or bad) he'd be with an increased role against the best players on the other side.

Similar to how Trouba shelters Fox and DeAngelo.

good call!!!!

don’t like.

i think it’s time for kids to develop. Getzlaf wants a cup at his age. Let him go play for the Avs, Blues, Dallas or if Boston has another run in them.

I still want Jordan Greenway somehow from the Wild. I think he would be great for our bottom 6.
Wild fan lurking here.

I think a good move for both teams would be Suter (15% retained), Greenway, and Zucc (30% retained) to Wild for Krastov, high end LHD prospect, and Smith.

Free up Rangers to pair DeAngelo with Strome to get an upgrade at the 2C.

Wild are going a different direction under Guerin.

Sorry my dude, but I wouldn't take that package from the Wild for free. Cap space is everything, and the Rangers can do a lot better than Suter and Zuc with that cap space.

Are you sure about that? These dudes are signed forever and Smith has 1 year left. We're not your cap dump team. Go call Ottawa or Detroit if you want to shed bad long term contracts.

yikes. Although some appeared in need of a shrink when Zucs left i don’t see the Rangers going with age with their direction and a flat cap.

counter proposal.

wild trade Rossi and Kaprizov for Brendan Smith, Brett Howden, and Marc Staal’s locker name plate

Just want to say regarding the Strome situation, I have so much faith in Gorton and JD that if for whatever reason they choose not to extend a QO today (and no trade), they have a damn good reason for it and I'll do my due diligence and wait to hear an explanation before joining my fellow fans on here in rage.

i feel so much better with Sather out of the picture.

Love Strome as a locker room guy but don't want the Rangers to go over 5 per with term and that's kind of stretching it already.

His camp is most likely looking at around 6 per with term.

If it doesn't work out, I hope we at least get a high 2nd for him.

Make some moves already!

Yea, I gotta be honest, this is horrendous, and all it does is hamper the NYR long-term.
