Wennberg is a guy I’ve always wanted. He’s young still and is 100% a solid, defensively reliable two-way center. Yes, his offense has dried up somewhat inexplicably but I partially feel that Columbus has typically been an offensively suppressive environment and that he hasn’t meshed well with Torts. He is once put up 60 points (59) and he’s just 25 now. I think he can bounce back to a 40-50 point two way C. If not, his deal will be cheaper than his last, and he’s at least a steady 3C at a more moderate price tag.

I think if any team is expecting Wennberg to come in and put up 50 points that is setting themselves up for disappointment. He's comfortably at 30-35 points a season more than likely with very good defensive play. That's valuable as a 3rd liner, specifically at center.

I know he's a meme on here but I would legitimately be interested in Duclair at the right price. You can never have too much depth or too many guys that know what goals are.

the guy made $1.65 million last season and Ottawa let him walk. Is that an indication of how bad Ottawa’s finances are or how bad DuClair’s overall game is?

I actually think Wennberg would look favorably on coming to the Rangers with the talented wingers they have and the role hed be asked to play.

Both Brooks and Edge have name dropped Erik Haula on here. We were big on Dillon but he re-signed in WSH.

I feel like there's been buzz around Martin and Clifford as well.

If I had to guess, I would say there's a strong chance Gorton is looking at Turris, Grabner, Hinnostroza and other bargain bin bottom 6 guys who just were bought out.
Turris was a shell of himself here in Nashville. A big no from me.

I agree. There’s a difference between expectations though, and what I feel is possible. I wouldn’t pick him up expecting him to return to being a big producer and be disappointed if he didn’t. I’d pick him up expecting a good defensive 3C but I’d be unsurprised if he benefited from the change of scenery and became a bigger producer.

Zibanejad
Chytil
Wennberg
Howden

and it kind of gives u the option to flip flop those 3 guys if someone is stumbling.

I’d love to sign. Boyle too but don’t think he’d come over as a 13th forward
I would love to sign Boyle and slide Howden to wing.

Wennberg would be Hank's replacement for the team man rocket.
Wennberg would certainly come with a chip on his shoulder and require no outside motivation especially on a short term deal. Although that’s true for all of the rfas
