Sure. But Georgiev aside, I do not see Gorton trading either DeAngelo or Buchnevich for the 8OA.
If Kravtsov was a slam dunk to come over here and produce either later this season or start of following season I would trade Buch for 80A. There is a great chance Rossi could drop or if everyone loves Lundell so much he would be there. One would think that would solve our future 2c problem???

If you want a good goalie you can get one easily this offseason

I don’t know why anyone would want hank and his massive shadow sitting as a back up. I know no one will make him a starter.
I saw that Brooks had St. Louis at the top of his list of destinations for Hank. I think it makes a lot of sense, but I dont know that Hank would want to move to St. Louis.

St. Louis took their medicine on Allen, but I dont think they are willing to move their only Stanley Cup-winning goalie in Binnington. But Binnington is not a clutch goaltender. If Hank wanted a layup Cup run in his twilight NHL season(s), a short and cheap deal with the Blues might be his best shot.

That’d be weird. Brodeur played his last season with the Blues too.

I was looking for something more specific. We have bottom 6 wingers. Lemieux is a bottom 6 winger. What does Greenway add that Lemieux doesn't? Is he better defensively? Can he PK? Are you expecting him to provide more offense? Is he going to get an opportunity above the 4th line? If so, what happens to the guys already in our top 9? Do we drop Gauthier to the 4th line?

I think Lemieux has been willing to do what's needed but so far IMO he hasn't been effective. He tries to hassle and be physical on forecheck but it's often a step too late. Same on PK and defensive zone play in general. Is he going to take the next step - possibly but it is not a guarantee and I can see Gorton making a move if there's someone already there or, in his opinion, is more likely to take that step.

It depends.

They could very well lose Petro and the long term health of Tarasenko is far from a sure thing.

Still will not give up the hopes and prayers that Gorton will deal production for a draft pick, huh? Why wouldn't a 24 year old 60 point defenseman be redundant or not necessary. Or a player that was trending to 70 points? Or a 25 year old that had top line production numbers? Who exactly is knocking on the door to take their place? Being redundant implies that someone is ready to replace them and someone else is ready to replace the replacer. Who are these mythical beings?

:blah:

Rangers peeps are fairly quite right now, which usually means they are deep into two things:

Evaluating talent (their own and the draft), and/or engaged in longer conversations with other teams.

In this case, I believe it's both.

3 - they're on a Zoom now with the beat and spent all morning learning how to use the mute/unmute functionality

@Edge - just a question regarding Shattenkirk.

Someone said yesterday you had mentioned that NYR management wasn't thrilled with him during his tenure here. Something about his attitude/coming in out of shape.

Sorry I missed your comment on this, do you mind summarizing this again? Thanks.

There was disappointment with his conditioning and some of his forthrightness on injuries.

boo hoo to Kevin. Cry me a river. Here we have Panarin (and so many like him) who couldn’t even afford skates. Jagr would do squats with Cinder blocks b/c he was broke. Poor Kevin, who attended the approx $50,000 a year Bruswick school, saw his play deteriorate in St Louis, was non-existent in Washington and had his $26 million dollar contract bought out b/c he was injured in Ny.

Newsflash Kevin, the Lightning got you at a discount and the surrounding talent won you a Cup b/c the Rangers bought you out. Need a hug Princess?

Extroadinary take. You can't help what you're born into either way, still doesn't mean that getting bought out didn't hurt the guy, same way it'll be hurting Hank right now, they're humans dude.

I would do it, I consider Kravtsov to be pretty safe to at least be a middle-6 winger even if he doesn't end up as Tarasenko.

But then again I don't have an unhealthy obsession with competing for a Cup this very year.

Or Colorado?

Wonder if talks with Calgary picked up once they were officially knocked out of the mix for OEL. That seemed like something that could've had Gorton on the back burner for a few days.

Gorton mentons specifically that "you notice the adjustments tampa made to be successful" responding to a question about things he may look to change on his roster.

That means getting harder to play against ... Maroon , Goodrow, Coleman

From theRFAs only DiG not a qualify option right ?

Good for Kevin b/c he won the Cup. i’m no fan of Pierre McGwire selling us the sympathy story (taking shots at the Rangers) and Kevin eating it up. If you get dumped by a girl and she’s happy for you on your wedding day you don’t need to remind everybody at the reception the day you got dumped.
