Nylander vs Lindholm to me is like getting drawn in by the sports car, when a solid sedan with good fuel efficiency is the more functional advantage.
To add to this, if you're acquiring Lindholm to center Panarin and Kakko, two players that we're hoping drive offensive zone play, would it be the worst thing in the world to have a pivot that's responsible in his own end to complement the skill sets of the other two players on the line? The draw to Lindholm is that he can take face offs and play center, slide to the RW if needed, perform on the PowerPlay (which we always seem to shit on until our guys struggle to do so), and he plays a two way game.
I would disagree about the passenger aspect of his play. If anything, I think he’s the subtle type that actually makes the flashier options perform better.
And looking at how this team is shaping up, all of things check a box.
On a short term deal at no more than three years and $3 million per? Sure. How do people feel about Nick Bonino on here?
Pretty good but then he turned 32 and started making 4.1 mil, the romance was goneHow do people feel about Nick Bonino on here?

This would be someone like Cirelli or Danault. To add to this, if you're acquiring Lindholm to center Panarin and Kakko, two players that we're hoping drive offensive zone play, would it be the worst thing in the world to have a pivot that's responsible in his own end to complement the skill sets of the other two players on the line?
Lindholm fits the profile of the player that the Rangers forward corps needs. Though Nylander is better offensively, I'm not sold that the benefit of the added offensive punch outweighs the two way play that Lindholm would bring.
Even if Lindholm comes to the Rangers, I'm still looking for two more bottom six forwards that can kill penalties. Fast can be one of them if he comes back, but unless something changes and he takes a significant hometown discount, he's not going to be.
that reply was sarcastic...99.9999% of his posts are bitching about how we are going to lose a player cause we signed trouba lol

Does Lindholm PK?
Yes. I'd take him with Lindholm. Full compete mode. How do people feel about Nick Bonino on here?
Lindhom is better than Nylander in the areas we lack.Nylander is a far better player than Lindholm. The only reason to prefer Lindholm on the team is because he will likely cost less and is cheaper. Those are fine reasons but they really are not comparable in skill level at all.
Led the Flames in PK TOI for forwards. And he’s good at it.
I just don’t see him being the player that team looks to move.

Just one tool but he's not really any good on the PK, and not just for last season but the years prior.
I assumed the /s was self evidentWhen we lose a player we want because of it, then you’ll realise how much of an asset it is.

Interesting. I think he could be a nice fit but isn’t he an rfa? And also the sens may not give him up on the cheap. They need guys like him with a team full of Super young playerswhat about a guy like Chris Tierney?
Seems like a good fit. Still in his prime and wont cost much. Trade AND cap wise

True.
But a sedan has room for a giant silver chalice in the back seat during the summer.
