Larry lost his scoops when Sather went to the retirement home.Larry getting scooped by Dreger on that, old man once again asleep at the wheel
Thanks, champ. So youre saying it's a good contract then?
Who is this quoting?"The Rangers aren't buying out Lundqvist."
We've been talking Calgary as a trade parter for weeks. Maybe if you focused a little less on the snark you could stay more relevant to the conversation.I actually think it’s a fair value contract, because it’s a 1st pairing contract but not a #1D contract.
You should stick to posting random tweets that have nothing to do with roster building, Rangers or otherwise, like your Valimaki tweet above. It’s what you’re best at.

Sorry, ADA doesn't have more value than Shea Theodore at this point. If he did, the Rangers would be working out a long term contract with him.
I like both players, but one is a legit 1st pair d man & the other is a 4-5 who makes his living on the PP.
If we are taking a contract north of 7 mil we are.Not a fan. Why not get something of value for Georgie and keep Hank as the backup for his last year? With Staal moved, do we really need that much more cap space for one season?

well fox wasn't given that at first, the team was playing with pairings and matchups for most of the first quarter of the season and settled into what became, so it's not like the pigeon holed those pairings and matchups at the start of the year. Hell, trouba started on the pp1 and paired with Brady, I think staal and ada were paired together as the 2nd pair and then fox and hajek were the 3rd pair rookies. Fox just played his way into more responsibility and also really stabilized w lindgren so I Don't really think it's a situation where Quinn went into the season and saying ADA was going to have limited 5v5 matchups. I think it's just the way it ended up playing out based on performance. Ada killed it on the power play, but 5V5 was a little bit more protected because of some of the limitations on his game. I just don't think it's so simple as saying Quinn held him back.
A player's development or their club's view of them, their position in their club's positional depth has no bearing on whether they are available and could help a need of ours. Got it, champ.Yes, but Valimaki being loaned to a Finnish team has no more bearing on his status in with the Flames than Huska’s loan to a Slovakian team has on his status with us.
If the Rangers didn't get an offer good enough during the season, I doubt they do this offseason when there's tons of goalies out there.Buying out Hank doesn't mean we aren't trading Georgiev. It just means we aren't trading him at a discount.
I could see Vegas.Tampa will sign Lundqvist because Tampa signs all of our buyouts. It actually makes sense though. Vasilevsky played every minute of Tampa's run. Short off season which goes into a compressed schedule. They could use a quality goalie.
Hank will take a friendly contract to win a cup. Reunion with McDonagh, Shattenkirk, Drury, Brad Richards, and Wade Redden who will all form a tight unit of former Ranger buyouts as they play for another cup.

I agree, let the market thin out unless we are cold-called with a compelling offer. Why would a team get Georgiev when there are like 10 ufa options ?
Just keep the 2 kids in G
