I feel like it’s bittersweet. The league did an amazing job here but feels like a lot of damage done and doesn’t seem like we are going to see a game again for a long time. Can’t wait for the draft but when do we see these guys competing again I don’t know. Feels like minimum January and even then it might only be 50 games or so.
Your team will be very close to the cap, if not over it.Since everyone is posting their best Eichel offer. I would do:
DeAngelo
Kravtsov
Miller
Might seem like a lot, but I’m comfortable with it.
Maybe a little 22+Georgiev to draft Jarvis
Team of the future:
Panarin - Eichel - Kakko
Lafreniere - Zibanejad - Buchnevich
Kreider - Strome - Jarvis
Lemieux - Barron - Fast
Gauthier
Lindgren - Fox
3rd Hughes - Trouba
Robertson - Lundkvist
Jones
Shesterkin
Wall
I'm not sure how much Eichel will get to pick where he goes, he might have some input, but at the end of the day he's signed for another 6 years and he doesn't have any sort of trade protection for another 2 years, where Nash had a like 3-5 team list he would accept a trade toMy Eichel offer
DeAngelo
Kravtsov
and either number 22 this year or unprotected 2021 first.
I’ll add Strome if they want him for free. But that’s the most I’d offer for a guy they wants to leave and will prob get to pick where he goes ala Nash
The NFL should give you some hope. 3 weeks in and nothing. They even have fans in some places.I feel like it’s bittersweet. I always like to say, there are two teams that get congratulations from the others at the end of the season - The team that wins the cup and the team that picks #1 overall.SCF are over and its now showtime for the Rangers. The focus of the NHL turns to us. Going to be an exciting next 2-3 weeks.

It's not so much that he can't pick where he goes as much as it's there not a lot of teams that can consummate this deal in the first place.I'm not sure how much Eichel will get to pick where he goes, he might have some input, but at the end of the day he's signed for another 6 years and he doesn't have any sort of trade protection for another 2 years, where Nash had a like 3-5 team list he would accept a trade to

I know it’s mostly outdoor but still. I think the NHL will find a way.
To some extent, sure, but I think he's the caliber of player that teams would do a good amount of carving at a pretty big cost to them to getIt's not so much that he can't pick where he goes as much as it's there not a lot of teams that can consummate this deal in the first place.
I still think he's gonna cost a haul once he is eventually traded, just that very few teams will have both the opportunity or resources to do so.To some extent, sure, but I think he's the caliber of player that teams would do a good amount of carving at a pretty big cost to them to get
Looking at the main trade rumors thread on ADA for Lindholm. lmao
Looks like we have to trade ADA +++++ to get Lindholm. f*** that.
Really hope we don't do anything of the like and just re-sign Fast and the RFAs and move on. Maybe one FA signing.
Give the new roster spots to one of our young D.
My Eichel Offer:
Brett Howden. Straight up. No retention.
Take it or f*** OFF.
The Rangers have put them in a position to pull off a trade like this, the question is would Buffalo demand one of Kakko or Laf in any deal.
They don’t spend to cap, and they aren’t close to their window. Why wouldn’t they retain 2 million if it meant a better return?
Players of Eichel’s caliber rarely get traded to begin with, but plenty of very good players do and the package is almost never equal value.
Liked the post, then had to unlike it because it's not that players are not traded for equal value.
Its more that players are traded for value that doesn't equate in most fans heads. Fans place a sentimental value on players that far exceed their actual worth. GM's cannot afford to do that.
I'm a BIG believer in that GM's have a significant difference to the fans when it comes to players values.
It might. New TV deal coming, supposed to be a massive increase.
I keep wondering how the TV deal would be affected by Covid. For instance, if they do start the new season in January but still do not have fans, does the TV deal get negatively or positively affected? I would think positive because more people are stuck at home to watch. Or do they lose viewership because people are more concerned with Covid than watching a hockey game. And of course the deal I believe will be impacted if there is not a full 82 game schedule. That is far from a given now due to Covid.
Teams have to spend to the cap floor every season, just to exist. If the 12 is the problem and not the 2, then Buffalo should just call it a day and move to Quebec.Because he's got six years left on his contract so that 2 becomes a 12?
