I guess... but he's already "developed" from a gamble of a 4th overall pick from the AJHL to a legitimate top pairing defenseman in the league. He is a tier above Fox currently and mentioning ADA with him in the same sentence is absurd

is it really ? thats quite a statement.

are we basing that on your opinion or real numbers ?

guess whos who ?

and the PP numbers are almost identical as well.

now whos being absurd ?

oh and one more thing, ADA played with marc staal last season....

I suggested ADA for Lindholm plus about a week ago, and the verdict was cold. I guess he isn't as good as Ducks fans claim.
I’m not sure I saw your original post but the idea does have some merit. Lindholm is a very good player. He’s two years older than Tony and is locked in at $5.2MM for the next two years. Given their respective ages and Lindholm’s existing contract I’d expect a bit more from Anaheim to make this happen. Swapping out DeAngelo for Lindholm would really give the defense much more balance.

It’s an idea worth pondering.

look i didn't mean absurd to hurt your feelings so please don't take it personally. But now this is just getting silly.

Cale Makar >>>>> Anthony DeAngelo

We have a very dangerous backend, unless you can actually go pick up a young top 4 LHD just keep your talent. I wouldnt move TDA just because we have some righties, especially not if that means your replacement is Hajek.

Fox Trouba
Lindgren TDA

You got a ton of talent in Lundkvist, K'Andre, Robertson, Jones etc., just waiting to fill out the spots.

Unless Montreal can win tomorrow and Sunday, we will pick no lower than 21 with Carolina's pick (still no higher than 24). Looking more likely 22 or 23.

Yes. We're picking 22nd as of now.
NYI winning did not change the pick scenario for the CAR pick. NYI need to make the ECF over BOS in order to make the CAR pick better.

Nothing has changed so far since yesterday, 24 is still the lowest the CAR pick can be.

Hampus Lindholm is 26. He has 2 years left before his contract is up. My concern is do we think we are ready to compete next season? Because he is going to be 27 in January when the season starts. If we think we are not ready to compete then we are burning 1 of those 2 years before having to deal with extending him while also dealing with a lot of 2nd contracts for our top prospects.

My point is, maybe its not the best use of DeAngelo’s worth as an asset if we are indeed going to move him this offseason. I’d rather move him for a center like Elias Lindholm who is signed for 4 more years after this one, one year younger at 25, and a better cap hit. I think Miller is very close. I think you can sign a stopgap vet such as Dillon to help with the transition for Miller, in that by 2021-2022 season Dillon and Miller start to trade places with ice time.

I mean I understand the interest in Hampus Lindholm, but they really would have to add something of quality to risk having to let Lindholm walk in just 2 years. Or having to deal him almost immediately at the trade deadline in his contract year. Or having to navigate the cap situation by working in an extension which will be Lindholm’s last big payday.

Will they face Boston? I saw that WC re-seeded after the first round.
You're right. Forgot that it was re-seeded.

If PHI moves on, it'll be PHI (1)/NYI (6) and TBL (2)/BOS (4)

If MTL moves on, it'll be TBL (2)/MTL (8) and NYI (6)/BOS (4)

Regardless, neither of those affect the draft pick.

I like NYI odds against PHI better than BOS. Hoping for one lower-ranked team in each conference making the CF, our pick would be 22. Probably NYI and Van are our best bets. Depends who is facing LVK.
