I just want more Krav sauce on our plate I don't want to witness him truly leave that's all I'm hoping for in the next 2 months. I really don't care what else Drury does this off-season but we need to see more of him to see where he fits in all this

Sell Kakko for a top 6 center while he has value. Kravtsov is going to pass him on the depth chart anyway. Combined with Lafreniere switching sides, the top 6 is full.

I love how this is said with such certainty and conviction. I wonder what that stems from when we know this is a kid that could not grab an NHL spot through two different coaches and two different GMs. He has next to zero NHL experience at this level. Yet we have some that would mortgage their home betting that this kid will be some great producer let alone surpass our other kids who have made the team and have been here.

Sure hope he does produce, but I don’t see how that should matter with Kakko who is the better RWer right now and we currently have both RW spots open in the top 6.

wasnt bennett their 3rd line center?
Bennett was their 2nd line center. Lundell, who could potentially replace him in that spot, was the 3rd line center.

I think Bennett isn't available until next summer. Huberdeau needs a new deal.

Florida is in an interesting spot. Duclair gives them LTIR to work with. So they have an extra 3M right there. Everyone expects Hornqvist to be moved/bought out.

Is that enough for Marchment and Giroux? I can see Marchment re-signing, but Giroux leaves. I think they have enough room to make this work for this year. Bennett is a casualty next summer.

Man he is just the most aesthetically pleasing player in the history of the game. You can tell just by a pic of him on the ice that he’s a tremendous player. His beautiful locs flowing behind him in the wind are just the icing on the cake.

Obviously I am only guessing and not certain, but I do believe Kravtsov will have more success than Kakko next season. I don't really care about not having grabbed an NHL spot when the criteria for making and staying on the roster was driven by draft position. If Kakko was picked 9 instead of 2, Kravtsov would have already had a spot a while ago.

I think Kane will give Chicago a list of teams he’d be willing to go to this week. He will probably also give them a deadline to make a deal.

Guys usually don’t want to be moved mid-season if they can help it.
Especially someone like Kane. We can talk about the person, but he's been in Chicago and won 3 cups. He'll get to pick where he goes.

His list will be short. I expect Buffalo to be on the list. This is where I expect he ends his career regardless. NYR will be on it. Not sure who else.

If I'm Drury, I don't engage. We have a path to go, and Kane isn't the answer anymore, unless he magically can play center.

Edmonton would most likely be on it, i mean if he wants another contract it really should be his #1 spot.

boring/safe way:
Panarin Zibs Kreider
Laffy Chytil Kakko
Blais Stastny Kravtsov
Goodrow Brodz Hunt/Reaves
*IMO a good chance for Cuylle to impress at camp and force his way onto the team

I'd still sign Copp and trade for Chychrun though... that's just me.

Reactions: Go Rangers
Marek Hejduk was not drafted. I wonder if he will be Rangers or Avs Development camp. With the Rangers loving bloodlines RW with a RH shot.

It sounds like things “got real” for Kane in the last 24 hours.

Pagnotta (I think) said Kane, his agent, and the Org will be revisiting the topic of his future this week. We know what this is about. Kane will enter that meeting with his list of teams.

His agent, Pat Brisson, also rep’s Toews.
If Kane says he will only go to the Rangers, that drops the price considerably. One year rental? Not a bad idea with big contracts coming up next year.

That’s just ridiculous thinking
Which one? There are plenty that fit that description.

Friedman mentioned Stastny on 32 thoughts, said he's going to sign with a contender which is not a surprise. The more I think about it the more he is the ideal fit, especially if Kane is potentially an option. I like going short term, allowing for future flexibility and the cost in terms of assets I assume will be less prohibitive than it would for say Miller, Dubois, or Scheifele or whoever else.

Kreider-Zibanejad-Lafreniere
Panarin-Stastny/Chytil-Kane
Blais-Stastny/Chytil-Kravtsov
Hunt-Goodrow-Brodzinski/UFA/Rookie
Brodzinski/UFA
