Lmao is Gauthier being benched for the 1st goal?? Cant make this shit up
Gauthier and Lafreniere getting lost in the shuffle againIf you're going to bench someone for their performance this game, it should be DiGiuseppe
I personally think we need a heavier game from all the lines.I hope I am still alive to see the day we have them gigantic 6+ft monsters on our 4th line like Gettinger and Edstrom? Cuyle ? and that other BIG guy in Hartford . What is the chance of them arriving in the Big Apple and playing here .
I still think we need a heavier game from our 4th line and just the odd goal from them . We need those guys to hound an opposition #1 line and harass them . Same thing on the D...we need some heavier play in the future from a couple of guys ....Miller might add that eventually .....sure hope so !
No VK tomorrow. I’m done with this f***ing coach
So then why have this kid come over in the first place?Dude, he’s only concerned with the playoffs!
He’s signed, what else is he gonna do?So then why have this kid come over in the first place?
Could work out and we get him cheap on a second contractHe’s signed, what else is he gonna do?
I just looked and I didn’t realize he’s been signed since 2019.
Management way overestimated his readiness and wasted two years of his ELC lol
Not me for sure. Especially the first 3. And unfortunately the last one. Or a panarin hiatus for a guy taking crazy pillsSo, after 36 games played:
- Ryan Strome leads the team in scoring (using goals as the tiebreaker) with 34
- Chris Kreider lead the team in goals scored with 17
- Adam Fox leads the team in assists with 27
- All 3 of Breadman Panarin, Mika Zibanajed and Pavel Buchnevich do not top any individual scoring category (not including PPG or such, just goals, assists and points)
- Yet the Rangers still have 6 players in the Top 90 in the NHL in scoring
- Blackbeard is on a 27.33 goal pace in a normal regular season and is used consistently on the PP and OT
- Our recent #1 OA and #2 OA picks have a combined total of 10 goals and 18 points
So - who could’ve see this coming before the season started?
Be honest now...
Exactly. So then why have this kid come over in the first place?
He’s been a cog all right.I know I'm in the minority but I think Howden can be a valuable asset.
I've seen the flashes from him where I believe he could be a key cog in the bottom6. 30pts bottom 6er that matches up and PKs. He's still only 22. He's improving.

And, they are 12th in the league in both GF/60 and GA/60 and 7th overall in GF%, yet they aren’t even sniffing the playoffs. So, after 36 games played:

Both Gauthier and Blackwell are close to the expansion requirements for games played if that even matters
To be around the team. To learn the system. To skate with the team. To make him feel like part of the team.So then why have this kid come over in the first place?
Yup, essentially the same thing Miller did last year in the bubble, look how badly that turned outTo be around the team. To learn the system. To skate with the team. To make him feel like part of the team.
Or is there no value in that?
Well he was already developed by Wisconsin....Yup, essentially the same thing Miller did last year in the bubble, look how badly that turned out![]()
He did that during last year’s Covid Cup. Again, he’s 3 years removed from the draft. He’s not some kid straight outta juniors or college. He’s been playing in the second best league in the world, throw his ass in there and see what he has. I can’t wait until training camp in September where it’ll be 4 years since his draft and we’ll still have the same question marks about him because he only played in the final few games of the season after the Rangers got eliminated from playoff contention. To be around the team. To learn the system. To skate with the team. To make him feel like part of the team.
Or is there no value in that?
