If they haven’t talked about the plan, there is no plan

That makes no sense. I have a plan for what I’m going to do when I get to work tomorrow. I have not discussed it with my coworkers or boss. Doesn’t mean I don’t know what to do.

I’m pretty sure after missing six games Quinn’s first priority is to get caught up on everything he missed and figure out a game plan for an afternoon game that day. Why would his top priority possibly be to discuss a plan on getting a new player with one practice under temporary coaches into the lineup? He’s the coach of the entire team not of one player.

It’s their job to have a plan. It’s their job to know how to develop these players.

Yes he has a lot of responsibilities. Determining how and when to get Kravtsov into the lineup is nowhere near the top of them. He’s been back with the team with for one day. The priority is the next game. And as I said he never said he didn’t have a plan why are we making things up?

in fact he literally says the plan is for him to continue to practice with the team until he’s ready

I disagree. They need to find the most talented roster as possible and they should know Kravtsov is on that roster. It absolutely should be a priority to integrate him. Admitting that they haven’t talked about a plan (because there is obviously no plan) is an indictment.

Why don’t you listen to the actual quote instead of going off the clickbait from the beat writers who all conveniently left off the sentence where Quinn said the plan is for Kravtsov to practice with the team until they feel he is ready to get in the lineup?

Because the quote is accurate. There is no plan. Are they supposed to not let him practice? VK is one of the most talented players that they have under contract. It’s not enough to just say we are going to let him practice until something materializes out of the ether.

I give up. If you're too lazy to listen to the actual full quote and would prefer to just latch on to the one sentence that leaves out context that fits your preconceived notions this is not worth my time. Good bye.

Full quote doesn’t matter. This is a team whose player development has rightfully been criticized. When you come out and say you haven’t spoken in depth regarding a plan of one of your most talented players and best prospects it’s a horrible look. If you want to stick your head in the sand be my guest. Why haven’t they talked in depth about what to do with one of their most important assets?

What Center prospect could we trade Buch for? We can't have Chytil, Laf, Gaut, Krav playing together and getting the same minutes as the 4th line. They'll never work together or develop.
It sucks that Buch is one of our best players but we need two of Laf, Kakko, Krav getting top 6 minutes to develop them.

Does anybody think we make a run at Lowry in the offseason. Great bottom 6 center. Good on faceoffs as well as being big and tough?

Or he’s definitely going in a trade.

Translation; until VK is ready to defend like a 10-year veteran, give up all creativity, and hound pucks until he is tired, he cannot be a young forward on this team. Time to crush the production out of another top pick. Thanks DQ.

Rooney has nowhere near the tools Gauthier has. They might grab Rooney. They would def grab Gauthier. And we gave up Keane whose doing well again to get him. Horrible asset management
The mistake was trading Keane. No reason to double down on the mistake by over committing to Gauthier who offers nothing if he isn’t putting up offense, which he doesn’t do. Let them take Gauthier. Rooney isn’t anything special but he at least contributes on PK.

Geesh..he looks like the Jamie the lawyer character from Yellowstone .....that deer in the headlights look a lot .

Translation: Player who has been in Russia the entire year with zero NHL games in his career can use some practice time with the team and coach to learn the system and expectations before being inserted into the lineup.

I realize that this is the Buch weve been waiting for but if he were to become available at the deadline, wouldn't he be the most prized player this year? His value due to his play and the available players this year might never be higher. With Kakko, Kravtsov, Lafreniere, Kreider, Barron and Panarin kicking around could we move him? Just a thought

Could Amirov in Toronto be available? Robertson? Lavoie in Edmonton? Things to think about
