It’s too bad they don’t have a center prospect.
They have Hållander but I prefer Amirov

With taxes, escrow and cost of living, he's middle class for Manhattan.
Where's the NHLPA in all of this? The players are going to get shafted for the next 3-4 years
I may have missed it, but is Tarmo still up?
Please don’t go there. That would mean gorton didn’t analyze that situation right. At BU Quinn coached Eichel, Grzelcyk, McAvoy, Brady Tkachuk, Greenway, Keller, Forsbacka-Karlsson, Shane Bowers, Evan Rodrigues, Keifer Bellows, Dante Fabbro, Jake Oettinger and a half dozen other low end NHL picks.
The years Quinn’s team finished 1st were the years he had Eichel, Grzelcyk, Rodrigues and a few other low end draft picks like AJ Greer, or McAvoy, Bellows, Fabbro, Keller, Greenway, Forsbacka and Oettinger. They never won a championship.
I’m not sure how you measure the quality of a coach when they’re getting guys like Eichel, McAvoy, Tkachuk, Keller, etc. come through their program routinely. That team with McAvoy, Fabbro, Oettinger in net, Keller, Greenway, Bellows, etc… can it really be bad at the NCAA level? Most of these guys are already drafted before their freshman year so they’re already super standouts.
Are you a development coach because Eichel and McAvoy, Tkachuk and Keller chose your college? Do you really get credit for how good these guys are? If he coached a non-prestigious hockey school to success it would be a lot more impressive than a program that consistently attracts NHL 1st round talent.
Amirov could be Kaprisov level special if he continues to develop at his current pace but it’s not here or there as the Rangers have wings overflow.
I think we have 3 big holes we need to fix in the future.
1. Center situation. At this point it's difficult to tell what we should do. Maybe the best bet is to wait a while. See what's happening with Mika. Strome has been our best C lately, but I still don't see him long term here. But if Mika does not improve we might be forced to trade Mika, not Strome.
2. Our D. At this point we only have one true NHL quality D pair with Fox-Lindgren. We have a lot of prospects incoming. But is it wise to throw our young prospects right into 2nd pairing, giving them too much responsibility early on? Like someone posted I think this is what happened with Miller. A better place for him at this point would be 3rd pair. I think we need to add another experienced solid 2nd line D man to help the kids. I also don't like Trouba. He should be producing way more with that cap. Moving him will be difficult. If Trouba had half the cap I would be ok with him.
3. Decent backup goalie. Geo needs to improve, otherwise we have to look at options here.
a young center would be ideal...but positional depth can change in a hurry. guys get hurt, guys get traded or don't pan out. not to mention with the way our future cap looks we are going to need to be able to backfill positions after guys price themselves out. so in other words just keep adding talent and guys that can play...
How long are we going to use health as an excuse for Zibs play? Forget the fact he can't shoot on net but his lack of winning faceoffs and his turnovers are killers.Plus the grass is always greener... I bet if we stepped back then Zibanejad (when healthy), Chytil (still a LOT of room to develop) and (lucky) Strome is a pretty good C group with proper pieces around them. The only problem at the moment is one injury or illness and the impact on the roster is significant!
Prospect mania is an addiction. How many organizations have been rebuilding on paper for a decade? This isn’t a video game in dynasty mode, losing is a culture killer. You do not root to lose so that you can take a stab at some 17-year-old child
I don't think Miller is playing over his head but i do think he's trying to do too much. When he first came in he was making quick plays, staying ahead of the other team, now its like he's trying to be Leetch and thats not who he is or who we need him to be. He needs to settle in and play smart defense like he was earlier, more the way Hajek is playing.

Absolutely. No desire to scratch him. He made some dumb decisions but i would MUCH rather him be too aggressive and take it as a learning experience than be a passive shot blocking dime-a-dozen defenseman. especially with that skating.I know I will probably get Killed for saying this especially after last game where he took a few too many unnecessary chances BUT I don’t wanna totally neuter this kid like our forwards have been. We pretty much have no one who can skate the puck with that kind of speed and back off the d to try to create space for some damn offense. He’s doing what the other kids on this team should be doing but are not or are not capable of doing right now.

HF rightfully wants the kids to learn from their mistakes and develop on the team, well let Miller do that.
