If weren't 10 points behind Pitt I would think twice, three maybe 4 times before trading Strome but if a team is offering an intriguing prospect or a first rounder you gotta do it. I really was hoping the trading at the deadline would not be a thing this year but I guess it is what it is.

When this team transitioned from Torts to AV, I didn't think they had the talent to plan AV style hockey.
I was wrong.
To say that this team as currently constructed couldn't play well under the tutelage of a competent coach I think is a huge mistake.

Eichel would be a draft day trade or summer trade. not a deadline move especially with his cap hit and questionable issues he has.

Yep. So his 10-day quarantine starts tomorrow. So he can join the team either the 23rd or 24th for practice.
For reference: Laine was traded on the 23rd of January, and played his first game for Columbus on February 2nd.

They pretty much have to make a deal or waive someone for Kravtsov eventually . PDG is the only one that makes sense on waivers

Or maybe it’s because Skjei was exposed as unfit for the role the Rangers expected for him while with a more complete and mature roster around him in Carolina Skjei looks decent. Canes sucked for many years before they got to this point (what two seasons ago?) even when all pundits were saying they should have been doing better because of all the quality of their roster. Developmental and maturation takes time and it looks like well over 50% of this board is incapable to comprehend it and show patience.
