6 teams in the east division have winning road records. The Islanders are not one of them. The Devils have a winning road record. Of the 16 teams in playoff position now the Islanders are the only team that has a losing road record. The Islanders better hope there aren’t more fans in the stands when the playoffs roll around. I don’t think they really have what it takes—that the additions of Palmieri and Zajac are not going to be nearly enough.

Him and Kreider had chemistry in those USA National Teams. Depends on their needs, I would not move Kakko Laffy Fox or Chytil, but Buchnevich as much as I like him would move him for Larkin

It’d be nice if a few posters known for having laser focus on largely irrelevant pieces of posts, building strawmen and bad faith arguments around them, and then chastising the unwashed masses from their high horse, uh, stopped doing that.

I see a whole lot of criticism of posters from that contingent with very little, if any, original thoughts or attempts at conversation. Really makes this an enjoyable place to be.

All of these are examples of Quinn having some hand in these decisions. Not everything he’s done is bad. I’m happy he did the obvious and dropped Kreider in the line up, but a few minutes later he’s back. I think he just doesn’t like Gauthier, won’t give him 5,6,7 games in a row. I’m happy the team is in a position to make the last weeks of the season exciting. More happy some of the kids are playing well. Not everything is Quinn s fault. And when he does something good people say so. However panarin, Fox, and shesty have made this team look a lot better then they are. They mask a whole lot of issues and literally steal games. I think just those 3 guys make Quinn look good. That’s why he’s riding them with heavy minutes

If you had to make such analogy I’d use Chytil, not Howden.

And you were honest here, just a few weeks ago virtually everything had “Quinn’s to blame” angle.

Yeah, I recon both sides, if it should be called that, pushes things too much in these type of things.

DQ’s work should be compared with whatever alternative would have had his job if we didn’t go with him or fire him now. I don’t usually run around trashing coaches and/or players. But I feel that we make huge blunders under DQ that definitely wouldn’t be expected by an alternative.

And besides these blunders, I think he hurts more than helps in many areas.

IDK about throwing Zac Jones in right now. He's learning, getting time practicing with the team, I think that's valuable enough in it's own right. Don't want to hurt his confidence by putting him in over his head. Give him the summer in the gym to bulk up.

We do. My issue here is I guess that I do not consider an 8 game stretch to be truly representative of a carousel. By that logic, one could say that there is a carousel after two different goalies starting two games.

Go back 2-3 games. What's the split then? It's roughly 60/40. In a limited amount of games its so easy to twist something. Please stop.

It looks like they are running out of gas playing playoff style hockey since day one of the season....the type of hockey that has teams eventually tuning out the coach....They will be lucky to be a .500 the rest of the way and no 3 month rest this year for them .
