So Sullivan? He was vilified while here. Who do you want or more importantly WHO is better?Depends on the coach?
we’re worse with AV or ruff. Trotz, lavi Cassidy and Sullivan have us in a playoff spot. Two of those guys were dealt a shitter hand than Quinn this year.
these are just the other guys in our division.
Him and Kreider had chemistry in those USA National Teams. Depends on their needs, I would not move Kakko Laffy Fox or Chytil, but Buchnevich as much as I like him would move him for LarkinDetroit might trade Larkin. Would he be someone we might target for the 2C position?
It’d be nice if a few posters known for having laser focus on largely irrelevant pieces of posts, building strawmen and bad faith arguments around them, and then chastising the unwashed masses from their high horse, uh, stopped doing that.I wish this was a ROSTER BUILDING thread
Oh wait. Of course I was wrong. Let’s pick one item from your laundry list and see if we can exhaust you with insults and pedantry. I’ll pretend like the other fifty points you made don’t exist while I call you an idiot.more like
Early goaltending carousel
multiple too many men on the ice penalties
team continually starting games poor and unprepared
centers garbage from face off dot
refusal to switch personnel On PP when PP was stagnant.
continually playing Howden
puzzling line up decisions during many games and games that went to OT
admitting the teams defensive scheme was a fire drill last year
admitting why some youth don’t have more ice time is because he “ loses them” during the game.
All of these are examples of Quinn having some hand in these decisions. Not everything he’s done is bad. I’m happy he did the obvious and dropped Kreider in the line up, but a few minutes later he’s back. I think he just doesn’t like Gauthier, won’t give him 5,6,7 games in a row. I’m happy the team is in a position to make the last weeks of the season exciting. More happy some of the kids are playing well. Not everything is Quinn s fault. And when he does something good people say so. However panarin, Fox, and shesty have made this team look a lot better then they are. They mask a whole lot of issues and literally steal games. I think just those 3 guys make Quinn look good. That’s why he’s riding them with heavy minutes
There’s more that you can add. I’m sure many other people have opinions of what is wrong. Doesn’t make him an evil person or the worst coach in the league. Tomorrow we’ll make the what we like list maybe..Oh wait. Of course I was wrong. Let’s pick one item from your laundry list and see if we can exhaust you with insults and pedantry. I’ll pretend like the other fifty points you made don’t exist while I can you an idiot.
He’s definitely a shot in the arm/ breath of fresh air whatever you want to call it.Is it me or did Kravtsov finally arriving here spark the Rangers??
If you had to make such analogy I’d use Chytil, not Howden.
And you were honest here, just a few weeks ago virtually everything had “Quinn’s to blame” angle.
IDK about throwing Zac Jones in right now. He's learning, getting time practicing with the team, I think that's valuable enough in it's own right. Don't want to hurt his confidence by putting him in over his head. Give him the summer in the gym to bulk up.
It has been pointed out to you over and over and over again, that basically after the first 8 games, the split has been 75-25. Ever since Shesterkin asserted himself, you are simply not interested in actually who has been playing the majority of the games. And Quinn saying anything to the media is coach talk. Have you head the term before?:Just let it go.right. Quinn saying there's a rotation and the games being split 60/40 proves the fact of the matter. You're not interested in that, you only care that you don't have to concede Quinn messed up somewhere. Let it go.
To some of the Quinninites, he can do no wrong and there's an excuse for every thing. He's the perfect coach and he's infallible. It's like I'm listening to Baghdad Bob.
I've talked about his strengths before... but when the team is underachieving, the head coach is public enemy #1. The team finding success over the past month does not negate the slop of hockey that took place.
You really should get used to disappointment.Quinn needs to go. That’s all.
We do. My issue here is I guess that I do not consider an 8 game stretch to be truly representative of a carousel. By that logic, one could say that there is a carousel after two different goalies starting two games. It happened. It was not a big deal. It’s in the past but it was not invented or made up. Just like the too many man penalties. They happened. They were eventually corrected and thats it. Move on to the next. Geez a four word sentence gets 2 pages of arguments. The funny thing is we agree on most things
What?It has been pointed out to you over and over and over again, that basically after the first 8 games, the split has been 75-25. Ever since Shesterkin asserted himself, you are simply not interested in actually who has been playing the majority of the games. And Quinn saying anything to the media is coach talk. I have heart that Quinn was spotted in Wuhan back in 2019,
Of course the issue here is that the team is far from underachieving. It is actually just the opposite.
Except that there was no rotation. Since the end of January, what has the split been? What?
You're not even trying. Let's continue to pick arbitrary dates to start counting to support your narrative. You continue to be disingenuous and cherry pick.
The argument is Quinn started a rotation and stuck with it. You say that didn't happen. It did. Let it go.
you can't be honest and cherry pick data.Except that there was no rotation. Since the end of January, what has the split been?
The fact that you are highlighting that little games as evidence is really what cherry picking looks like. Not to mention being disingenuous. But you be you. Playing "let's pretend" is much more fun that actually living in the real world.
LOL...so we give away 3 first round picks.....Kreider-Strome-Trouba-Howden for Eichel and washed up EK ? Just quickly...does that look like it also frees up 10 million in cap space after Eichel is paid ? Am I figuring that out wrong ? LOL...maybe not as bad a deal as I thought .....10 million gets us almost any defender or forward we would want....and maybe a crack at Barkov as a UFA next season . Highly doubt Trouba and Kreider would waive for this though. I wonder how much time the original poster spent figuring that one out ?I have to share this proposal from a different board.....
“Look at this deal listed on Sharks board, it’s f***ing crazy.

It looks like they are running out of gas playing playoff style hockey since day one of the season....the type of hockey that has teams eventually tuning out the coach....They will be lucky to be a .500 the rest of the way and no 3 month rest this year for them .6 teams in the east division have winning road records. The Islanders are not one of them. The Devils have a winning road record. Of the 16 teams in playoff position now the Islanders are the only team that has a losing road record. The Islanders better hope there aren’t more fans in the stands when the playoffs roll around. I don’t think they really have what it takes—that the additions of Palmieri and Zajac are not going to be nearly enough.
Been 3 games.Regularly? It was ONE game.
And no last game doesn’t constitute as being moved to the 4th line in the 3rd period. All the lines were changing.
Kreider’s play has been no different than it has been his whole career. What is the surprise here?
