Krebs checks all the boxes IMO that we needI know the consensus would be Newhook, but I like Krebs more.
Although, I don't think I make that trade straight up.
Any word on where they’re at RE Eichel? We know they’re obviously interested, and most likely standing firm on a package they deem as not an overpayment, curious of how interested they actually are and if they think they can make it happen.Another potential outcome is having that player replace a center that potentially goes to Buffalo for Eichel.
I trust your info and judgment.Another potential outcome is having that player replace a center that potentially goes to Buffalo for Eichel.
wow. PDG and Bennett are not comparables. Bennett has some puck skills; PDG does not. He forechecks, he skates. Once he gets the puck, not good.
I'm still not convinced that Zib's lack of production is not COVID related. The way he started so strongly the other night and then faded as the game progressed seems telling to me. It's as if he has only a certain amount of energy to expend and he is still compromised. Long COVID may be the issue.
I think you meant to reply to the Schneider news, not to the Geertsen news.I knew this would happen. Everyone said when they drafted him that this kid is not too far from the nhl. He’s not a trouba replacement if he’s ready by next year
I did, I’m a schmuck thank youI think you meant to reply to the Schneider news, not to the Geertsen news.
Lundkvist for Frost
Lundkvist for Hayton
Lundkvist for Krebs
Lundkvist for Newhook
which one? and which one is more likely? or none of the above?
At first I was like "holy shit is this guy high on Geertsen"I did, I’m a schmuck thank you
Hehe, I really had the same thought. At first I was like "holy shit is this guy high on Geertsen"

Not giving up on the rebuild whatsoever. It's the timeline. Washington, Pitt (though they are closer to collapsing), Car, Phil, NYI, and even CBJ are all better than the Rangers, and won't just turn to crap next year. The Rangers getting better next year doesn't mean they will be all of a sudden better than the teams ahead of them. MAYBE Pitt.
We are rebuilding, this is NOT the team they are going to go all in with. Next year it gets closer, but they aren't "good" next year. Look at the average age of the team, it's a bunch of boys. This is a 2-3 year away team from being possibly good. It is what it is. It's a rebuild. There are no guarantees in anything either. You either get results or you don't. No one has seen any results in the past three years. None! A good 2021-2022 year is around the 9th place mark in the East. That would be progress!
Let’s just repeat this however many times we have to until it becomes reality. I am really excited to see what Nils can bring but Zegras is easily my favorite non Rangers prospect. Wish there was a way to get him here. The last one is the only one I'd consider. It sucks that Anaheim doesn't have center depth because Lundkvist-for-Zegras would be perfect for both parties
So, unless we include Chytil, any trade involving Eichel and the Rangers would likely wait until summer then? Correct me if I'm wrong, but trading Chytil for Eichel while (somewhat) simultaneously moving Zib for a younger C to replace Chytil seems like way too many moving parts to happen mid season. Summer allows you time to a) put together a package for Eichel that won't severely impact your on-ice roster and b) replace the pieces you shipped to Buffalo in a precursory/subsequent trade of Zibanejad.I would say correct and probably/most likely.
Or Chytil explodes now that he's back and we don't want to trade him.So, unless we include Chytil, any trade involving Eichel and the Rangers would likely wait until summer then? I guess a 3-way is possible, but that would be one of the craziest in-season trades to ever happen.
I'm going to guess that Gorton and company have this figured out. They'll pay who they want to keep, trade for assets to fill holes and bring in the kind of FA who can put them over the top.The point is to look beyond next year. Say you trade Chytil. Who is 2C and at what price? Strome at what price? How much are you allocating to Fox ‘s contract and Lindgren’s for that matter.
I’ve been beating this drum so hard.He is a nothing player that is not worth any commitment. You can get someone similar for near minimum as a FA. We already have with Blackwell and he is better. There's no point even trading for him because his QO is too high and he's not worth qualifying.

would take a shot on
