On the one hand I would really be wary on selling low on Zibanejad, on the other hand, f*** it
I mean it’s not selling that low. Might be lower in a walk year. You still are getting useful assets which is the difference. The Rangers don’t need to aggressively trade for futures. Still a work in progress mind. But if you can get ready made NHL centers and high ceiling young centers in the same deal, you are kind of hedging. And frankly I’d rather have a guy like Danault than a guy like Monahan

What do you guys think the following players will project into? Kakko, LaFraniere, Igor, Miller, Fox, Lundkvist, and Kravtsov. Been following rangers for years, but my evaluation of players do not come as easy to me as the other 3 sports.

Does Igor project to be a top 5 goalie in the league? Are kakko and lafrsniere top flight first line wingers like a Kane or panarin? Can Miller and fox project to be number 1 defenseman who the rangers can win a cup with like a Duncan Keith or doughty? I appreciate any insight.

I am truly enjoying watching the young guys grow and develop.

Igor is already a top goalie in the league. Look at his number compared to others who have played as many games.

Igor, Lafreniere, and Kakko all have the talent to be top-5 players at their position in the NHL. Star potential in all 3.

Fox is blowing the doors off of most expectations. A lot of people felt he'd be a very, very good 2nd pairing D who could run a power play. Right now he not only looks like he could be a top-pairing guy, but an elite top-pairing guy.

Lundkvist kind of falls into the spot where Fox was like a year ago. Looks like a high-end 2nd pairing option who can be a weapon on the PP and move the puck in transition. Biggest question with Nils is the size and whether or not he can handle defending NHL forwards. He's smaller than Fox but is a better skater. Easily one of the top D prospects outside of North America right now.

Miller is another guy who is exceeding expectations right now. The pieces are there for him to become a great #2 who can play all situations but the thought was that he'd need a year or two in the AHL to put things together. So he's way ahead of schedule and I don't think anyone, the Rangers included, thought he'd be doing what he's doing in his debut.

Kravtsov has the talent to be a first-line winger in the NHL. He was arguably the 2nd most talented forward in his draft class behind Svechnikov. The question is whether or not he can translate that high-end skill into actual production. If he can do that, he could be a 70+ point scoring winger. Only time will tell.

Calgary and Nashville gotta be considering blowing it up.

Well Friedman said the other day that Nashville only has 3 untouchables: Josi, Ellis, and Rinne. So it sure sounds like they're gearing up for big changes.

Based on the info that's been shared around here, we know Calgary has been exploring big changes for the better part of the last year. Just seems like Treliving lacks the stones to cut into the core.
