I think three years in a row with a 1st or 2nd pick where the unquestionable consensus BPA is not a center would be the ultimate in the Rangers Monkeys-Paw luck.
I mean having too many high-end defensemen is like having too many left handed pitchers. It's a great "problem" to have. Particularly when they're on ELCs.
If the Rangers took Power and then made him available a few weeks later they'd have no issue getting a comparable center prospect in return.
Honestly, this is the year where if we get a top 5 pick I am 100% ok trading it for a young roster player, especially the 1OA, and double especially if the young player projects as a top 6 C

It does, but If he's "Fine," hopefully he got the Tom Hanks version of COVID where his body aches, but he doesn't have major respiratory issues.
Either way, Kakko has been taking the right steps this season, so I'm less concerned about his development. Sucks that this hit just as he was playing well, but that's COVID.

Scoring will be hard to come by with Panarin out of the lineup for sure. Panarin, Chytil, Kakko if we assume are all out for another two weeks at least, wins are gonna have to be defensive grinds.
At least Laffy should get top PP minutes during these shenanigans.
