Watching the U18s right now. Please get back 2023 1sts in any trades you make. Bedard will be McDavid-esque. And worst comes to worst you have extra 1st in your back pocket for when the Rangers are competing.

Yeah, coke addiction isn’t rocket science. This team has a whole damn top-notch medical staff.

Nor is it meth, heroin, crack or even weed (psycho-dependence) for those of you who haven’t dabbled. Alcohol as well. If he’s an “addict” rather than a user... which is not at all proven... coke is one of the easier addictions to break. I have a ton of experience with other people’s substance troubles and my own experience.

Coke is the easiest bc the withdrawals aren’t as bad as the other drugs.

I miss partying it up at the Tunnel and Sound Factory in the late 90’s. Certain drugs like Coke and X are not that addictive.

The real addiction could be the partying kind of lifestyle. I know a lot of good eggs who still dabble a bit on rare occasions.

I don’t think Kuz would be the athlete he is if he had a full blown addiction. His teammates and staff would intervene if that was the case, because it would be that obvious, in my opinion.

I still wouldn’t look at him as a realistic trade option for us. I think there are better candidates.

While true chemically speaking, addiction is just as much a mental disease. I too know from experience, it all comes down to ability to moderate. People who lack that ability entirely can become seriously addicted to just about anything.

Anyway, that's one way to get Kravtsov's heart rate up!

Players who play with the traits the Rangers are seeking are not all likely to be perfect agreeable, kumbaya, teammates or people.

Yet I agree it's not like they should be taking on troubled (emotionally, personality or addiction) players either.

Yet if they do end up with them they can't be throwing them to the curb (taxi squad) either.

There is never going to be 23-26 players who all get along, there are going to be some guys who are literally asshats. Yet Chicago had them, LA had them, Penguins had them, the Rangers in 94 had them too. The job of management and coaching it to take that group regardless and figure out how to get them to play well enough to win a Cup, or a couple of them.

If you are a guy that was banished by the now fired GM, what do you do now? Are you calling Drury and asking for a 2nd chance and fresh start or a clean slate?

It’d be crazy imo to add someone who is neither a leader at all, or objectively hard to play against. We have plenty of skill guys who aren’t great leaders or painful opponents. Why on earth spend anything for more of that?

absolutely and unless they make Lindgren or Trouba captain they need a captain. No more of this nonsense of no Captain. It just looks bad.

And yet some want Eichel more finesse less defense and not gritty at all,

I’d love Radek Faska from the Stars. He is exactly what that Rangers need. Not a top 6 but huge upgrade for the PK and has some snarl and size.

Faska is 55.4 and would lead the Rangers in faceoffs %

As a fourth line center?

yes, would they trade Faksa +2nd rounder for Strome + some prospect we don't need?

If one has to be traded who do you keep:

Kravtsov or Kakko? why?

Trouba or Kreider? why?

Reunanen or Jones? why?

Rooney or Blackwell or neither? why?
