I agree a bit. Could space them out. Nothing wrong with moving Barron up to the 3rd line and Gettinger to the 4th.

Also, neither of those guys are 'slow'

Could go in many directions under this "win now" mentality. Rick Tocchet, if he breaks free from Arizona. Brind'Amour would be ideal, but I bet he stays in Carolina. Babcock just seems like a Rangers coach, but no, no thank you. Boudreau, Claude Julien...

But yeah, my first choice all along has been Gerard Gallant. I actually think he's the perfect guy to juggle our youngsters with our veterans, and also implement a more gritty and tough playing style.

To be fair, signing one enforcer is a lot less potentially harmful than tearing down the entire roster to rebuild it with more physicality.

In particular it's the small defensive prospects like Jones and Lundkvist who I worry about with this change of message.
