If not now, then when? PLEASE TELL ME. I'm so goddamn sick of this shit. We just lost to a team that hadn't played in WEEKS. WEEKS!!!!! I don't give a shit how good Kakko looked or how much Lafreniere flashed. They're not scoring ANY points. NADA. ZIP.

f***ing fire Quinn and Oliver and hire Gallant. Enough is enough. I'm tired of this shit. It's f***ing painful watching this team attempt to play hockey. And BTW, I'm not absolving the players or management from this f***ing disaster, but getting rid of Quinn and Oliver should be the first step.

Nope. You're right. Something isn't right with this picture and it starts from the bench out.

I remember when Atlanta had Kovalchuk and Heatly as young nothings yet, but God damn it, they were flying and you had to know where they were at all times or they would kill you.

This year and next. I dont care about systems or wins. Id rather loose a 6-4 game and have these kids build their offensive talents than loose 4-2 and our premium players build self doubt. The talent Kakko and Lafreniere have they should be just as deadly as Kovy and Heatley were on there first years. Teams should be planning to stop them. But they are not. Why? Because Quinn has stopped them himself.

Take the reigns off.

If Winnipeg can run a freestyle offense and be successful (as per Laine), then so can NYR. You don't buy Thoroughbreds to haul a milk cart.

If our D and Goalie are so damn good, then let the O loose. For now anyway. Down the road, sure, tighten up the loose strings.

I get your point but I also think Edmonton has the two best thoroughbreds in the world and they can barely manage .500 after how many years

You don't think Buch is brought back? What about someone like Tarmo Reunanen at LD opposite Nils Lundkvist
Tarmo should be added to the mix although stylistically may not be a good partner for Lundy K. I love Buch but we can’t afford him past next year so we’ll cash in at the deadline IMO

Their team depth and goaltending has been terrible. Also, their scouting dept can't draft outside the 1st round and even those gifts were 50/50 it seemed.

We actually have a decent bottom six with Lemmy, Blackwell, Rooney, and Gooch.

My point is you can't just let talent free for all with no structure, it doesn't work. That being said this team is a mess in that there appears to be no offensive structure to this team, yet the young talent seems scared to make mistakes despite the lack of structure. It's a very weird dynamic

I get that. It seems like the structure in place is rudimentary at best. Kakko and Laf were touted as line drivers and in Quinns world they are pedestrians/complimentary.

I appreciate the effort from DiGiuseppe and Blackwell but they are journeymen borderline nhlers

need to play younger kids IMO

The front office needs to do 1 of 3 things:
1. Figure out a way to get these guys some help because they are clearly lacking right now
2. Admit defeat on David Quinn, start the transition now, or make an aggressive move for a Stanley Cup Finalist head coach...
3. What was suggested here. Get Kravtsov and Nils into the lineup, and let's see everything we have to assess what should happen next

Which is something we should probably try and avoid emulating. Edmonton has been horribly mismanaged and questionably coached over the years. They have a poorly constructed roster (which gives their thoroughbreds a better excuse... there literally no support) and have developed a losing culture.

At some point, whether Quinn is the problem or not, a team needs a wake up call, shakeup and new voice. You can’t fire/trade the whole team. So when the whole team is under performing, what do you do? I thought Bylsma was a good coach in Pittsburgh but he got the axe when the Pens under performed and Sullivan came in and they won again. Sometimes the coach has to be the head to roll because there’s not realistic meaningful roster changes you can make. And I’m not even convinced that Quinn ISN’T the problem, so I’m more than okay with rolling the dice on a change.

Why do we want to ruin two more prized prospects. I would keep Kravtsov and Nils in Russian/Europe for as long as possible. Same goes for Robertson/Schneider/Jones. Keep these kids away until they are 22-23 years old.

Where did Chris Kreider go and why do we have Johnny Gaudreau?

Also Danault is around a 55 point player so he's not going on your 4th line.

He took a long walk off a short pier. If you know what i mean.... Just make it happen. That’s what i wanna see and what i pay for. I’ll leave the order of the lines up to coach cooper.
