In Zibanejad's defense he's outshooting every other Ranger, it's just that he's running a shooting percentage unseen since that season where Sean Avery decided he was gonna flip the puck at the goalie on every zone entry instead of dumping it it.

Galchenyuk is NOT the player to grab on waivers. Guys like Digi, Blackwell and Rooney offer more in their roles than Gally does at this point in his career. Big pass.
Yea count me out on Galchenyuk. The guy is cooked. Plays 0 defense and is soft as tissue paper. He would have to play top 6 minutes with good players and he would weaken every line he’s on. If he wasn’t drafted high, no one would even want him.

Here’s a trade proposal that might work: DeAngelo to Chicago for Zadorov. Gives them help and offense from the right side and Chicago already has Keith and de Haan on the left side. DeAngelo makes 1.6 million more I believe. Fills a hole at left d, brings an in your face hard nosed game and immediately makes the Rangers tougher to play against. Would compliment NL when he comes over next year too.

Chicago just aquired Zadorov for a reason.

He should have a few more goals, same for Kakko, they just aren't going in. Paul O'Neill said people tell you they'll even out but it never feels that way.

Just in case anyone is listening and wants to freak out along side of me Fil Chytil has now been in Covid protocol since Thursday. If we get the Mika version of fil when he’s healthy because he had Covid we are REALLY screwed

Well it’s because that’s not how statistics works. Just because you’ve drawn five straight blacks doesn’t increase your probability of drawing a red on the next draw.

So the “numbers will return to the mean” is a fallacy that I see too many supposed star masters repeating

I see what you’re trying to say, but this is a poor example. If you draw five straight blacks, there are now five less black cards in the deck. On your first draw, your odds of drawing a red card are 26:52 or 50%. In your scenario, your odds are 26:47 or 55%. That is unless you were returning the cards to the deck after each draw.

I thought the league had to announce positive tests

Well it depends on how many cards/marbles, ect. I was thinking of red and black on a roulette wheel

And in the NHL scoring percentage chances I'd say theres nearly unlimited

I really wanna know why Ryan Graves was never given a chance here. its not like this team had alot of depth. another reason why I think management is awful at scouting at the pro NHL and AHL level.

You can say the same about the Flyers and Devils not giving Strålman a shot after having them in camp and on a PTO

Every team misses on players sometimes.

I dont know why Chytil is being elevated to his current status.

He has had a good start to the season, but he's done this before. I'm not saying he wouldn't have continued playing well, I'm saying there's a trend to Filip Chytils game. He starts hot then fizzles out.

On Mika... Covid has affected him but it's not the only factor imo.... I think he's lost focus. Women and money can do that. He's playing double catch up..

You can bet your ass Mika will be focused for his contract season.

I can sort of understand them deciding that he was too far down the depth chart at the time.
I can't understand why they then traded him for another D-man, nor what they ever saw in Bigras

not only that, I think a lot of players feed off the fans and the noise of a full arena. Not saying this is the sole cause of his bad play, but I do think the momentum swings in a full house, especially against a rival really get the juices flowing for these guys. I think the cheers and boos make them find a little extra in the pit of their stomach. I think that’s not only affecting some of our guys, but a lot of guys throughout the league as well. Just an observation.
