But he wants one....
Galchenyuk is the original Buch, he took the American thing so far that he changed his birth certificate to say born in the USACould Buchnevich and Panarin be a good influence on Galchenyuk? At 1.050 it seems like it couldn't hurt to try, while 1 center is injured, another is not at 100%, and two others are MIA.
Beggars can't be choosers. At some point, we've got to take a chance. This one seems low risk.Galchenyuk is the original Buch, he took the American thing so far that he changed his birth certificate to say born in the USA
Isn't he a LW?I would take a chance on Galchenyuk. If he continues to be subpar than just put him back on waivers. Low cost, low risk.
No.Could Buchnevich and Panarin be a good influence on Galchenyuk? At 1.050 it seems like it couldn't hurt to try, while 1 center is injured, another is not at 100%, and two others are MIA.
that player is an unsigned draft pick that has never signed a contract. so doesn't impact the cap
Yes, but given that Carolina will be able to subtract almost all of Galy's cap hit if he is claimed or demoted, I guess they will have trimmed roughly 1.5 million when all is said and done.
If he stinks it up, you just waive him, demote him and his cap hit goes poof. He wouldn't block anyone unless his play warranted that.Galchenyuk is NOT the player to grab on waivers. Guys like Digi, Blackwell and Rooney offer more in their roles than Gally does at this point in his career. Big pass.

Kreider for Danault would be really interesting to me as a hockey trade; if Habs are willing to do that.I posted this on the main trade board in response to a Habs fan that wants Kreider. What about Kreider for Mysak + Mete + cap balancer?
This would essentially offer the Rangers a redo on last year’s deadline. Mysak was a guy a lot of us were targeting with the late first that we moved up to grab Schneider. Mete in my limited viewings looks like an upgrade on Hajek. Thoughts, other than it being hugely unlikely they move Kreider period?
Yeah, I can get behind that. The trade I proposed was essentially Kreider for a late first plus a prospect as most were expecting to get back at last year’s deadline.Kreider for Danault would be really interesting to me as a hockey trade; if Habs are willing to do that.
I’m not taking Mysak back. Im not taking any wingers back. I’d want Poehling back. Mete is fine but he isn’t want I would call a primary target.
