Is it a little fwd to bring that kind of confrontation where you're calling out another player? Maybe..But that shouldn't lead to a complete dismissal.

I mean you're of course allowed to think whatever you like but it's common knowledge at this point that Tony was wearing thin on the room for quite a while before the Georgiev incident. So much so that the team felt like management had to step in and give him an ultimatum.

The power play being horrible isn't a good enough reason for the team not to be true to their word. Again, all Tony had to do was not go off the rails and he'd still be here. Yet he couldn't even do that. It's far past time to stop making excuses for him. If the team had some sort of agenda against him they wouldn't have given him a contract extension. He f***ed up his opportunity and now he has to face the consequences of it.

What "common" knowledge are we talking in regards to the NYR here?

Life long blue blood in Staal just publically made a statement in his defense and credited him so I'm just not buying it..

Heard from a guy? Reading news articles and watching video isn't "hearing from a guy."

Again, these facts have been openly shared in countless articles and TV segments by reporters and insiders. Hell, the freaking GM and President of the team came out and affirmed everything that I mentioned in that post.

If you want to pretend these things didn't happen that's your prerogative but don't try and imply that I'm speculating when I'm just laying out facts you don't like.

Staal hasn't been in the locker room this season, , im dounbtful marc staal would throw anyone let alone his former partner under the bus.

DeAngelo had been drawing negative attention to himself well before the altercation, but Gorton said the situation took a turn for the worst after the 25-year-old was benched for the second game of the season on Jan. 16.

He was called for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the Jan. 14 opener that coach David Quinn deemed "undisciplined" and apparently did not take the benching well.

"Tony wasn't able to move on from that," Gorton said. "It was something that he was trying to get through. I had spoken to him at that time and said, ‘Listen, if there's there's any more issues here, the time is going to come where we're going to put you on waivers and move on. No more issues. That clearly says that DeAngelo's antics had been an existing problem prior to his benching and the altercation with Georgiev.

Taxi squad players on two-way contracts get paid AHL salary. I'm not saying this practice either good or bad, but it's definitely affecting the bottom line for the players getting sent back and forth on a daily basis.
 
Does sound like tonight that these games this week will happen.

Both devils and flyers scheduled to practice Monday.

if we can’t jump on these two teams in these next 3 games yikes
