Looking at the the defenseman, I imagine the 6 the rangers like in their top 20 are Drysdale, Sanderson, Guhle, Schenider and two of Wallinder/Grans/O'Rourke/Kelven/Niemela

Don't think Barron is on the list

LOL he carried this franchise for the entirety of his career. If we catch a break in 14 or 15 he's considered immortal here and one of the best goalies ever. But "he's nothing more than an ex-teammate..." Unless he goes to Pitt, NJ or NYI I want him to get his cup. We're not talking about Jesper Fast here, we're talking about one of the greatest Rangers of all time.

We saw Brian Leetch play for another team....

marcus. mf'ing. foligno.

I know he's probably not available but I'd prefer him sooooo much to players like Anderson.

No argument from me there. I'd probably lean more towards a guy like Clifford for that same role over Simmonds as a 4th liner.

Although I'd probably prefer Bobby Ryan to Wayne Simmonds

I would take Clifford for such a role as well. Regarding Ryan, I think that both Simmonds and Clifford provide something that Ryan doesn't.

Maroon is another one

The weirdest thing to me was walking out of a club on a Sunday afternoon, and watching Church going families look at you and your group being blinded by the sunlight like a bunch of zombies.

Even the children knew we were up to no good by the look of us.
By far some of the strangest days of my life was walking into a club when it’s dark and leaving the club again when it was dark. You feel like you came out of a wormhole.

Reactions: FIRE DRURY

Not a surprise

no it’s not but they really need to start by then. There are teams that haven’t been on the ice since March. Getting crazy. I realize they need fans but full buildings just aren’t going to be a thing in 2021. Just not going to happen. And they need an extended training camp. Not two weeks. Teams need to be on the ice together in early December

Dmen can take 4 5 years to be ready. You do need them always coming. Frankly behind Lundkvist we don’t even have another righty d that has an nhl future here or to use in a trade. Maybe skinner but that’s a stretch. Probably should start thinking about that soon.

This.

You dont draft for current needs. You draft the BPA and if that happens to fall into your short and longterm needs so be it.

Case in point - If Askarov is there at 22 I would want the Rangers to select him. He wont - but he would be a huge chip to have in the system that can help acquire the player you need to fill a need.

I thought I saw something on Twitter that they were considering Shattenkirk as a fall-back. But Vancouver isn't a bad thought for a potential landing spit for TDA.

What would a deal with Vancouver look like? Would we have interest in Horvat? Would they have interest in moving him? Maybe a larger deal involving Virtanen and Strome?

One thing to mention on this is that for the younger fans that didn't get to watch Leetch in his prime, that this is exactly what that was like.

I'm about to be 31 now (holy shit where does the time go) and was 4 when they won the cup. It's extremely vague to me. I had a recorded VHS with Game 7 on it and would watch it as a kid. By the time I was able to really get into hockey, Leetch was on the tail end of his career. He was a legend, but one that we could not fully appreciate. It still hurt to see him go, but not as badly as someone that was probably a few years older.

Hank is our Leetch. Homegrown, lifetime Ranger. Went through the ups and downs. I'm sure for the older folks that saw guys like Giacomin leave that their response was similar to Leetch being moved. It's just a generation thing.

Emil Andre is one of those guys who I think fans have ranked higher than actual teams

Bob's list has him at almost 70

I honestly think the smarest move, at this point, is moving him.

Even if you assume you're not getting a peak package for him, the guy scored 98 points in 2019 and scored at a 95 point pace this season. Someone is going to be willing to spend some capital on him.
Montreal come on down...
