Our team is set for some time.

We kept Jones and Robertson so they shore up the 3LD spot eventually.

We have Othmann and Cuylle here next season. Maybe Sykora and BMB in 2 seasons.

Keeping this 1st, stacked draft too, is important. Can't miss though... It needs to be another Othmann type home run. We can restock in 2024-2025 1sts with a Trouba or Kreider moves ( IF NEEDED )

this is fine.

Drury telling his executive assistant to go find his bluetooth ear piece so he continue staying on phone calls and on the 3-way trade call later while slowly eating his Colony pizza with a fork and knife.

Let's face it, if this was the trade we would've been offered two weeks ago everyone here would've done it in a heartbeat. The only way some people are "meh" about that 1st is because we were hoping for a total fleece.
Well, kind of. There were definitely a lot of people more interested in going a different direction from Kane, which of course we actually did with Tarasenko. It's hard to believe that this was actually the plan two weeks ago.

I’m glad we keep this years first at least but would’ve preferred a finals or cup condition

It’s Showtime now boys, enjoy the ride

Literally no one should be upset about that trade. We kept our precious 2023 1st rounder that will hopefully be 32nd overall (and still manage to hold more value than Connor McDavid on HFBoards).

EDIT: I still see the Dallas pick being a 2nd round exit or later so that makes it 24-32. My point still stands, 24th overall picks aren't equivalent to 2nd overall picks just because they are all in the 1st round

I'm completely okay with giving up a future 1st for Kane if he helps us get back to Conference Finals, and beyond.

I'm still seeing a rematch with the Tampa Bay Lightning if we do. I don't care how good Boston has been, to me, Tampa will always be the favorite to come out of the East Bracket, until they don't. You earn that benefit when you do it 3x in a row and it results in Cups twice.

it can't be 32nd overall, that would go to St Louis for Tarasenko.

It's likely going to be what ever pick Dallas ends up with because they are butt.

We have a first rder but the lowest we can pick is 31 and that would happen if dallas and nyr meet in finals no matter the outcome of the series.

listen I know we wanted Drury to hold Davidson's feet to the fire but there was no f***ing way this package wasn't going to give us even a little pause. Drury is out to win but not humiliate another GM in the process. The fact that if it's a first is deferred is fine, hate the ECF condition but it really is what it is. If someone told you we'd get Patrick f***ing Kane for those miniscule ass assets, you'd have thought they were tweaking.

All I have to say is, lets win the damn thing.
