Yeah everyone is jumping to assume that its the 2023 1st.

For all we know, certain perimeters will just trigger a Lotto protected 2024 1st instead.

- Anything that pushes it to a 1st in the 2024 Draft
- Win the Cup

Condition I'd be ehh with, but whatever...
- Go to the SCF

Conditions that would stink...

If this is purely making the ECF, then that would follow along with everything I think of Drury.

If someone told you one day you'd have Panarin, Kane, and Tarasenko on the wings in Rangers uniforms, you'd think they were a crazy HF Boards poster.

Can they still play at a high level is the only question.

If you told me in 2015 we'd have them, I'd never believe you until you added, "in 2023." It is what it is, but this is so much the rangers of my childhood I can't help but feel depressed.

We can hope. He's fighting a team culture of making the perfect play. He can really zip the puck from anywhere, like a rich man's Vatrano that we saw last year. Now that the top 6 is a proverbial All-Star team, I imagine they'll think it's more showtime than ever.

This is my concern as well. Hoping for the best, but he's shooting dramatically less since joining us and it was already the lowest shooting season of his career.

even if it's reach the SCF I'm meh

but if it's something dumb like "makes the playoffs" then that's lame and shouldn't have given up both 1st round picks like that

This is where I'm at. We always seem to get the shit end of the stick when it comes to trading conditional picks.

I really don't think we are moving the other 2023 1st. The only way I can see it were if the condition is winning Cup.

OK so serious question time: if the condition for the 1st is that Kane has to be play X amount of games in the playoffs and the Rangers win the cup, do you sit Kane out in game 7 against Dallas, start Halak, and resign Nemeth for top game 7 minutes so we have a better chance to keep the pick?
