I wonder if the Debs board is going to flip their beanies over where Timo is going to play?
Even their GM said he doesn't have a set spot in HIS mind on where he'd fit better. With Jack Hughes? Sure. With countryman Nico? Sure.

Where Kane playes will work itself out. No need to stroke out over it. Jmo.

The NHL should follow the NFL's lead and permit teams to restructure contracts to get cap compliant. There's no reason we should have to trade Goodrow when we should be able to change the remaining 4 years at 3.6M to 5 years at 2.5M, for example, or something along those lines
The NHL should do a lot of things to introduce themselves to the 21st century but they refuse to do it. Worst run league AINEC.

I'd normally agree with this but it's a legitimate concern with GG.

He's broken up combos that work for no reason and will stick with combos that don't for way too long because he really wants them to work.

Both Zibanejad and Kreider can make great feeds, but often on the rush and only on occasion.
Idk if Tarasenko needs a great passer. He definitely needs help transporting the puck up ice and forechecking to maintain or turn over possession, but his whole career he's been a guy who needs less room, less angle, less help entirely when it comes to scoring goals. He's never really had a one timer, he's a guy who likes to fade out and then appear again.

I like him with Chytil and Laf for those reasons. But I don't like him anywhere if he won't shoot the puck. I know I've been harping on this but it's really significant to me. He needs to get back to being a volume shooter, shoot from anywhere, score from anywhere player.

You play Kane with Panarin. Panarin-Tro-Kane. That's the line. There is literally no reason to bother with anything else. If it doesn't work you move him, but to start, Panarin and Kane. And honestly, you let it go as long as possible before moving it around. Don't be the smartest guy in the room and try to play Kane with Chytil or something. Haha

Kreider-Z-Tank
Panarin-Tro-Kane
Laf-Chytil-Kakko
Motte-Goodrow-Vesey

Tarasenko came to NY to play with his best buddy and he’s already being replaced. If you think he sucks now…

Lines will be Kreids-Mika-Tarasenko, Bread-Troch-Kane, Kids,
Motte-Goodrow-Vesey.

Whether trade happens after 5PM EST today or tomorrow, what a time it is to be a Rangers fan.
The big gripe in trading for Kane was if we gave up a 1st + Krav. Now it seems we're going to get Kane without giving up a 1st and it turns out (like I said all along) Krav had little to no value bexause hes 5/6 years removed from being a high draft pick, neglects AHL assignments, flees for Russia and hasn't impressed at all in the NHL.

Getting Kane is HUGE. Getting him for the price we're about to get him for is even bigger. If you're not happy, cheer for another team because you're clearly just a stick in the mud.

2nd & 7th for Kane im seeing it some unconfirmed twitter rumors. Would be a coup.
Good lord, that's a major steal if true. If this is what we end up trading to get Kane, I would have almost preferred keeping our 1st rounder and stuff that we traded to get Tarasenko. But, am liking the depth we've gotten with Tank and soon-to-be Kane it seems.
