I'll say this, in an ideal world I'm going:

Chytil + Jones + Howden + Georgiev + NYR 1st '22 for Eichel

Zibanejad for Krebs + Reaves + LV 2nd '22

Buch + Hajek for Holloway + Khaira + EDM 2nd '22

Signings:
Bonino
Oleksiak

That leaves us with:

Kreider-Eichel-Kaako
Panarin-Strome-Kravtsov
Lafreniere-Bonino-Gauthier
Khaira-Rooney-Reaves

Lindgren-Fox
Miller-Trouba
Oleksiak-Lundqvist

Barron is first call-up
Krebs in AHL
That is some rough center depth that is only going to get worse with time. Eichel isn’t hard to play against, doesn’t have character, and is the only young center in the lineup for the foreseeable future there. Imo that’s not a lineup that will win or improve. Is Krebs thought of as a center currently?

How much will Coleman or Hyman cost? We could build a pretty nice third line with one of Kreider or Kravstov on that line with Chytil.

Mutiny in Buffalo. Risto and Reinhart basically asking out. Eichel has to be moved after those comments but no one is paying a premium after the list of injuries was advertised and Jack gave some pretty damaging statements.

The best course of action usually is hold Eichel and let him play his value back up, but then you are in season where trading $10m is near impossible and said player is about to get a No Move.

We are not exactly the best trade partners for Buffalo if you think about it. Mika will just walk in a year if you even get past his own no move. If I'm Buch, I sign my QO and walk next season. Lundkvist can sign in Sweden or the KHL and be a free agent next season. Strome will drop in value on that squad and I like him. Kreider has a NMC.

We have the assets but we have to send salary back. The players with salaries don't fit the jig saw. And why would we offer any of our top 6-8 prospects? Chytil, Buch, Jones and the 1st is feeling steep given the scenario.
Buffalo might just want to call it a day, sell and move to Kansas City or Quebec

Yes, Krebs is a center prospect. So is Holloway

I thought he was a winger for some reason. That makes more sense for pure. Imo if Chytil moves we absolutely need to find a way to get a young center or two in the system

I think Krebs and Holloway project easier as centers than Chytil. So the idea would be to play Strome/Bonino for a season and let those two guys marinate and then bring them along slowly behind Eichel.

I like it but instead Buch and Hajek for Lundell, Verhaege/Wennberg, and Florida's '22 second.

4 things on wishlist for next season

1-Goalies to not shit the bed for the first 2 months
2-Zbad to not shit the bed for 2 months
3-Panarin not to take a leave of absence
4-Some grit for lines 3 and 4 to help set the tone in the room and on the ice

If the plan is to play Jones/Lundqvist next year with Reuanen sprinkled in, the team should really find a bigger bodied d-man as well. Trouba and Miller being the only d-men over 6' is not ideal.

Brooks was on the Blueshirt Breakaway podcast and suggested the Rangers untouchables are Panarin, Mika, Kreider, Trouba (NMCs, no surpise), Fox, Igor, Lafreniere and possibly Lindgren due to the role he plays. Interesting that Kakko & Miller were left off.

I think its smart not to get too attached to anyone outside of the core 7 or 8, now that the "build" is over.

After the way the season ended I don’t think that’s the team’s plan at all.

surprised at Kakko, not so much Miller. I keep saying it, but he would be the prime trade chip for a franchise Center.

Especially since we have so many d prospects.

I think hes probably right. In fact, I'd really limit the non NMC untouchables to Lafreniere and Fox.

Does that mean the other guys are "available?" No. There are several players who I'd trade the other trio for. The list isn't very long, but it does exist.

Laf and Fox I'm not moving for anyone short of McDavid, so I'm not moving them.

For the sake of argument, let's skip the Kakko is/isn't untouchable thoughts. You cannot sell based on what he produced. You have to hold firm on potential, because the ability is there. If the buyer does not view him as a possession machine, high level stick handling, physically gifted, future star then we should not be having talks concerning this player.

So all speculation while we do know eichel is available.

Lol you serious? That is all these boards are.. is SPECULATION. Everything is speculation until something happens.

Again, the flames were flirting with reshaping their roster at the begining of the season. Had a horrible year and therefor one has to believe that they will revisit changing up their roster.

Sharks are a disaster and OLD they cant sniff the playoffs and should start a rebuild.

Again Tampa has cap issues if they want to keep players, something is going to happen there.

Come on man stop acting dumb. Use you're head. Take a look around the league and you can start to connect some dots.
