Schneider brings a part of the game the team needs going forward, he's very close to untouchable for me. Nils will almost certainly be the better player however.
I suspect it is the emergence of Dolan.
Like Cthulhu, he has awoken from his long slumber, emerged from the abyss and now we are left watching in sheer horror, wavering on the edge of insanity.

I think it’s totally backwards IMO that — WE — are talking about trading for Buffalo’s 1st line center. Haven’t we learned anything? The cap is flat for two more years. Two more. 10m lazy center who had like 2 goals last season, never made the POs.
We should be talking to them about them taking our top line center, and aim to build a team the right way instead.

I don't think Eichel is lazy, he's also quite young and extremely talented and at least you know the price when you're getting him and not thinking about what you have to sign him too later
That said, the neck thing and surgery issue is a huge red flag to stay away unless Buffalo is forced to trade him for peanuts
KAM is soft. He showed no fight and walked away from our goal crease when our goalies were getting abused.. Trade him sell high or we will be stuck with defensive version of CK!!

Nils. This team has Fox, Miller and Jones already. We need what Schneider brings right now a lot more than we need what Nils brings.

For example, let Buffalo swing Eichel and Reinhardt for assets, then take their call on Zibanejad. Would CBJ give up Boone Jenner, their 1st and a prospect for Eichel? Sounds fair. Buffalo will get a later 1st and a prospect for Reinhardt.
Send Ziba to Buffalo for a bounty. They can’t bottom up completely. Ziba would be great for them,. Say something like Jenner, Mittlestad and the later 1st. We gain cap space, size on the wing and speed and quickness at center ice.
Move Laf to center. Get a young tough guy like Boko Imama.

I give the team I listed above a better chance of winning anything that if we went out and got a high priced big name star.
Eichel reminds me so much of Yashin. Trading KAM for Eichel would be a real Yashin for Chara type of move.

Anyone that wants to trade Lundkvist, team needs notwithstanding, over Miller hasn't been paying attention to what he has been able to accomplish over the course of the past two years.
He's the best defenseman not in the NHL at this time and it's not even close.

All for that. Have him and Nils Lundqvist paired up and start the season in Hartford then bring them up together.
I would say the same for Matthew Robertson and Zack (Mack) Jones.

Im not getting the feeling this team is moving on from Zibanejad after they played him steady while dealing with covid. If they aren't, then Eichel isnt happening.

KAM just turned 21 in January, his body will mature. Trading him now makes no sense whatsoever.
I don't even think he's the best D prospect in the SHL.
