Drury’s not trading Laf for Brady because of the BU connection with Quinn. Cmon....
Laf for Brady is not a dream. It’s a f***ing nightmare.
How high are some of you guys right now?
I wouldn't trade LAf for Brady, but I would for anybody not including Laf or Fox, the rest I'd def do.

What other 1A Cs can be had? Id assume any EP offersheet would be matched and Barkov isnt going anywhere.
And Chytil. Buffalo will want a C back. Price will be heavy, especially with a LOT of LEAGUE WIDE interest.

None. Teams don't trade their 1A Cs. Most teams don't even have one in the first place.

I for one am super stoned at the moment and reading some of these posts. Lets all settle down and realize that Fox, Kakko, Laf, and bread are staying and some others like Krieder for contract reasons.
The decisions come down to deciding what to do with both Zibs and Strome. I love Zibs but lets be honest bout his age and the amount he will get, its down right scary watching him shrink against physical play and i for one am in the trade camp. You can not win in the playoffs with guys who disappear when physicality is present.
Strome should go as well. I knew he has been a solid point producer for us but he is redundant and adds honestly nothing else to the team. His contract also will most likely b e 7m per, id rather have the 7m per used on a less skilled but more physical, defensive responsible and can win faceoffs.
Quinn i hope to god goes but im also nervous about who would replace him.
We need to build an actual 4th line. a bunch of guys who can play but play hard, physical, in your face forechecking types.
Also possibly sign a guy like oleksiak to fill the 3rd d spot.
I dont have the answers bc there are alot of options out there. How about we give Drury the benefit of the doubt, ALOT of teams wanted him to become their GM.
Listen, Eichel and Brad Richards are different, but from our perspective they are pretty similar.
Eichel alone has no big impact on this team, it’s as simple as that.
Hockey is a team game. Sure Eichel is very good on the PP and with the puck around the net. There would be some magic, some great goals.
But does he makes us harder to play against in between? Barely. On top of that you have a monsterous cap hit. Attitude issues. Luggage.
I have no clue what Drury will do. I’ve never been impressed with him. Maybe he keeps DQ and trades for Eichel, but if either if that happens (with the absent in some retained money on Eichel AND us basically not giving up anything), he will be a disaster and not be here for long.

I have a question. Why is everyone trading Nils? Last season he was ADA’s replacement now he’s being offered in every proposal. Is it the emergence of other D prospects?

Nobody really wants to, but if this team is dead set on trading for Eichel you need to give them at least one blue chip prospect and nobody wants to deal KK or Laf. And we have fox so that kind of makes Nils a tiny bit expendable.
