Getting an experienced LD for Strome would be about as good as it gets

Strome’s value is below Buchnevich and we all saw what they got for Buch

the only thing with Vegas is I know they need more skill/scoring but they love Stephenson and they have karlsson long term so does Stephenson go to wing? Strome definitely isn’t a 3C if he’s going there

yeah, not sure how great of a fit we are with Vegas but who knows
 
Have we ever seen a situation like the one involving Eichel where the player wants to have a procedure done but the team disagrees and is standing in the way? I can't remember ever seeing anything like this before. I'm assuming if a team that trades for him that means they also agree with his desire to have the procedure done?

What a strange situation. He probably is going to miss at least half the season.

And if Vitaly acts like a heat seeking missle on the forecheck and gives the puck to Mika or Bread or Foxy and gets in the open he will succeed.

I think its a ploy by Jack....but if true do we want someone who cheats to get what he wants?
 
The league vibe on contracts is super weird right now. Players in their late 30's are getting big 4 year deals, but no one wants Tarasenko for free.

I don't know what to make of it.

That consolidates cap space for two players to one though. Not sure that's what Vegas wants to do.

This is really where Drury should flex the checkbook and take Fleury off their hands in exchange for a bit of value. Or at the very least act as a facilitator to send him to another team at a reduced rate. Fleury would be a great guy for the room but I can understand if he'd have us on his no-trade list since we're not a contender and he'd be far from his family for the season.

I think there were some concerns about whether or not his shoulder is actually good to go. Plus I think he makes like $9.5m in real money this year. Can't imagine teams are hot to pay that after losing out on so much revenue over the last 18 months.

Well, sure, but maybe Tarasenko was an overly specific example.

It seems like GMs around the league are splashing cash like there is no tomorrow, but players with chronic injury concerns are being avoided like the bubonic plague. Also, RFAs are signing for UFA money, and trade return value is all over the place from player to player.

My concept of fair value is shook right now.
 
Nemeth won't be expensive... what are NYR gonna do with the like 12 mil of cap space for this season?
