Can Goodrow play Right wing? Would still like to see a full season of the youngsters playing their natural position.Right now I’m seeing our team as
Panarin-Strome-Lafraniere
Kreider-Zibanejad-Kakko
Goodrow-Chytil-Kravtsov
Bilas on the 4th line with some other players TBD
So Buffalo apparently wants all futures full rebuild. The equivalent of 4 first round pick level prospects/picks
Minnesota cannot make a futures trade they need to send money back and have a bunch of holes to fill while also needing big money to sign fiala and Kaprizov
I don’t see where Buffalo is moving this kid too. He also still does need the surgery. It’s practically August. You’re lucky you see this guy at all next season.
I really really hope we stay far far away

Some combination of Blais-Rooney-Barron-Gauthier for the 4th line. Wish we could find a productive spot for Gauthier and give him one more shot at being a decent power forward.
My forward lines as of now, adn assuming strome is gone;
Panarin-Zib-Laf
Kreider-Chytil-Kakko
Goodrow-XXXX-Kravtsov
Blais-Barron-XXX
extra forwards: Rooney, Gauthier
I think we need to sign a Middle Six Center and one more side of beef for the 4th line. Reaves?
On D:
Fox-Lindgren
Miller-Trouba
XXX-Lundkvist
extra: Bitetto
Goalies
Shesterkin
Georgy (though I think he might get moved as well)
Kinkaid
I think Jones, Robertson and possibly Schneider start in the A. (Can Schneider play in the A or must he go back to juniors?) I think we bring in one. I think we bring in a vet D who can play PK and clear the crease. And possibly drop the gloves.
When all is said and done our 1a/1b line is gonna be Panarin-Strome-Goodrow. Or Goodrow drops to be Chytil's winger but not sure if Kakko or Kravy are gonna be that lines RW right from the start
didn't the Rangers like this guy at his draft year?
You mean long term? or he's being traded this offseason?Doesn't sound like hes long for this team.

I think 80/20 strome is here to start his final year with the team
Another note:
If the Rangers bring in a bottom pairing LHD and do nothing else in FA, Drury should be all about taking back a bad contract for a year and getting an asset back for it. It would be moronic to not use every single dollar of cap in this flat cap climate.
I have a bad feeling we are signing Coleman, cizikas, a LD, and trading strome and calling it a day.
Laf-Mika-Kakko
Panarin-Chytil-Krav
Kreider-Goodrow-Coleman
Blais-Cizikas-Gauthier
not saying that’s what I want, but that is what I feel is going to happen Wednesday.
In terms of a Strome trade with Vegas, McNabb and Reaves for Strome would be somewhat close cap wise
Reaves is thrown in to make the salary being swapped more even
you don't see a difference between them? You can get by with an undersize guy or two.How much size do you need to have? Does every player need to be 6'1 or above just cause Tampa is that way? Why is four out of six not good enough?
.... because Pittsburgh ran out three guys who were under 6'2? Daley was 5'11, Letang 6'0, Cole 6'1? I'm just not seeing a ton of difference in that and Fox 5'11, Nils 6'0, Lindgren 6'0.
We aren't talking Tampa Bay levels of size and height.
Yes we need a couple big guys like Orlov or Hedman. We have Miller who is 6'5, we have Trouba who is 6'3. Robertson is 6'4, we are gonna be good in that department.

We shall see. I've been hearing the same for a while now including to ottawa. I don't think the return is gonna be all that great for a position the organization wants solidified going into this coming year.Being traded this offseason.
Everyone has basically hinted at it. Seravalli and Freidman have both made it sound like it's coming in the next 2 days.
And if that pick ends up playing for us that will help ease the pain of losing Buch a bit. Those deals where we get a lesser, but still talented player for Buchnevich wasn't out there.
Additionally, the cost savings on a guy like Blais this year alone is going to be 4+ million compared to what Buch will be making.
It sucks, but this really wasn't much of a hockey trade as much as it was a bit of a cap dump while getting a pick a year out and a warm body that is physical and responsible defensively
I mean McNabb would be a nice addition without having to give up a top 6/9 roster player. But I guess if options are running low on a decent LD vet then Drury has to make that call.In terms of a Strome trade with Vegas, McNabb and Reaves for Strome would be somewhat close cap wise
