The clauses don't really matter. These guys almost always waive and a 15 team NTC is not particularly restrictive. The structure seems weird.

Maybe the LNTC was a squid pro ro for the cap maneuverability this and next year.

I think we all laughed when they signed those deals too, but it worked out pretty well for them.
