I suggested this a couple days ago :yoda:

I’ve been saying that my max offer would be Buch, Strome, Jones and 15 for weeks and that I don’t think any other team can match that.

If that’s the deal it will have been close. I don’t like giving up Chytil but to get something you have to give a little I guess. Keeping Kravtsov and Nils will be absolutely key.

That’s an easy deal to make for Eichel if Buffalo accepts. Worst piece to lose there is Chytil but you figure you have assets to replace him somehow

Can’t imagine how Buffalo fans will react if that happens though. Might bring a tear to my eye

After hearing those delusional f***wads chirping that we’d “have to add” to a Kakko/Zibanejad/15OA package, they deserve all the misery that is coming their way for being ignorant morons.

Nash brought back Anisimov, Dubinsky, Erixon and a late first. Eichel is worth more but the Buch package IS more. When a star player wants out you don’t get equal value back, you get something similar to the Nash package. I will be thrilled not just to acquire Eichel but to witness the meltdown when reality bursts their delusions of grandeur.

I'm not keen on Eichel at the moment, but obviously the Rangers wouldn't move to acquire him without being 100% comfortable with his medicals. They're not going to trade several big pieces for a guy they fear might be severely diminished or not able to play at all.

That’s why there is no point engaging in the “But he’s hurt! I would only trade for him if he’s Healthy!” skepticism.

The Rangers doctors know more than anyone here. If they are comfortable that he’ll recover, then we will chase him. If they don’t, then we won’t.

If the Rangers acquire Eichel you can take that as a sure fire sign that someone who knows more about medicine than you said he’s gonna be just fine.

It will be critical to either 1) resign Zibanejad to a team friendly deal or 2) convince him to waive at the deadline and get f***ing HAUL in return.

NO SELF RENTING. His return would be too massive to pass up.
How are you convincing him to take a trade off the team that prob gives him the best chance to inflate his offensive numbers the year before ufa when he has a ntc, let alone waive at the deadline? That is lunacy.

People think he's going to take a hometown discount and resign while other think he is waiving his no trade clause in a contract by year, and you just suggested either or in the same post. Come on, where is the common sense...

That delusional fanbase deserves what is coming their way because no team is going to trade anything close to what they are expecting.

Seattle drafted a solid defense. They also drafted 12 defenders.

Giordano - Larsson
Oleksiak - Dunn
Soucy - Fluery
Dreidger
Vanacek

is solid. Then there’s Lauzon, the other Fleury who has solid upside, Cholowski, MacDermid.

Gourde, Eberle, McCann, Appleton, Geekie could be a good middle six. Appleton and Geekie have definite potential.

Tanev, Pitlick, Bastian, True. They can make a solid 4th line.

They need 4 top six forwards. They may be able to sign 2 - guys like Schwartz, Danault, Wennberg. But they need to trade some of the D for a couple of forwards who can score.

I worry about the team trying to load up with Eichel and Zib and then trying to bridge the kids. If you move Strome and Chytil, you either need to find another center in addition to Eichel or you're rolling with Zib going forward.

I def think Rangers are going for it the next 5 years Panarin is here. Whether that means they can keep Zibanejad as well I have no idea but I suspect they will try if his demands arent outrageous.. I expect Rangers within the next 2 years to be "all in" for a cup

Francis's history and his performance with the expansion, Seattle is on a path to absolutely nowhere. Ron Francis would starve to death at a buffet.

Francis?…With the gold chain and open button shirt (what is he doing???), he’s giving off Borgota degenerate poker player vibes…down to his final short stack, catching a Spirit Airlines flight back to FL out of Kennedy…

I'm just ready for the off season frenzy with the draft coming up, then FA, and all the possible trades, it should be fun and chaotic.

Seems like Seattle is open to weaponizing their cap space, would the Rangers enlist Seattle's help in order to hold some of Eichel's salary, a la Tampa's acquisition of Savard this past season?

I look at that division and give them even odds to make the playoffs without making another move.
your’e crazy. There’s no Kopitar or Doughty on that team, no Couture or Burns, heck no Gibson and Lindholm. They will Finnish dead last with Buffalo guaranteed.
