If that's it for Eichel, I can live with it. And for the record I am very anti-Eichel, but thats a great deal.
My problem is that if we're moving strome, and Chytil, our center depth actually just got worse not better. And we're tighter on the cap.
I am very high on Chytil and would 100% rather include kratsov or lundkvist in that deal.

Not sure it ifs close
Thanks.

I can personally live with that if Eichel's neck will be ok. I'm not as big a fan of Chytil as his underlying numbers suggest. I'm sure he'll grow out of it eventually, but he still makes some really, really dumb plays. Buchnevich is the top 6 forward that needs to be sacrificed. Jones and the 15th overall are whatever.

If Nils, Kravtsov, Kakko are safe, I'm cool. Any retention on Buffalo's end is gravy.

I doubt that deal gets any retention

Eichel, Zibanejad (at least for next year), Goodrow, Rooney, Barron, is bad depth? hell they can even pick up someone like Bellemare as a cheap FA center too

Now the following year maybe but if Zib is gone that gives the Rangers some money to find another 2C.

I'd rather keep Chytil too, but I dont think Rangers trade 2 RWs in the same deal.

Even if they weren’t there, the whole show was talking up each selection. Why bother talking up Soucy or McCann, for example, if they’re getting flipped? It should have been: “From the Toronto Maple Leafs the Seattle Kraken have selected ____. We also have a trade to announce, ____ has been traded to Philadelphia for ____ and ___.” And then talk about the assets the Kraken are ACTUALLY getting instead of someone who will be with them for 18 hours total. That is if there are actual trades waiting to be announced.

agree 100%. I will say it again. Hockey is a great sport but the NHL is a dumb league.

I mean if eichel is healthy this is completely wrong, eichel is 24, chytil is 20? I mean if chytil becomes half the player eichel is we’d be happy

So Francis couldn't get a single side deal done because he set the price sky high like Vegas did. GMs learned and Francis didn't adjust. In the end, he avoided drafting the players he was asking for picks from teams for Seattle to take off their hands, out of spite, out of leverage in the future, out of holding onto max cap space and flexibility. He drafted the players he liked, period. Next will be doing the same thing every other team does, turning cap space into assets by taking on contracts and flipping them.

I heard today the following:

buch, chytil, Jones and 15 overall for eichel

strome for gio but this seems unlikely now after Seattle had him come on stage

also heard landeskog to the isles which I don’t see how in the world it works
I wouldn’t trade any one of those pieces straight up for Eichel, in his current state.
