Speculation: Roster Building/Rumor Thread XV

When can they announce trades? Wasn't there supposed to be a trade for Vatrano? To go from 10 trades in 2017 to zero this year...

You're telling me Seattle's first choice from LA was really MacDermid?
 
Not too surprised there weren't any trades. NHL GMs have always been pathetically gun-shy compared to other major leagues.

Plus with Montreal making the finals, 25 teams or so probably think they can make a legitimate run with what they have.

Wow okay

I know Francis wasn’t a great GM in Carolina but man I can’t even fathom how you don’t make one deal

all we heard about is how high the price was to make a deal. The only thing I can think of is they think they can sign some of these UFAs

Lol who is signing there with no1 to play forward with. Should have taken Terasenko, have no1 to lure landeskog there now, and with no real talent on the roster who is gonna go and sign there?

I mean Seattle does have a good defense, but why didn't they take Niederieter? You're telling me they think this guy they took is better than Niedereiter to not even make a side deal for Carolina to keep him?

If the smoke was accurate except Giordano not the target and Sea is indeed interested in Strome, I'd love to get Dunn, Lauzon or Gourde...

I mean they didn't really ask them that many questions about players. They're supposed to know bottom of the roster players? I haven't heard of 90% of those guys. Relax with the "messed up" stuff. It wasn't a judgment, I seriously couldn't care less why you think they know nothing about hockey.

I'll reserve judgement after the draft and free agency.

SK have plenty of time to flex some muscle with that cap space. Might be letting teams increase their own panic.
 
Seattle and NYR could have talked about Strome or some other player. I doubt they introduced him like that to trade him but I guess crazier shit has happened.
