I think we all know that Larry is hinting at the Eichel deal and it's funny that he never mentioned Nils because the Rangers must have Schneider in that deal. As much as i disagree with Larry's personal views of hockey he does have the ear of someone in that org and this deal is getting close.

Remember the Wings grind line...Maltby, Draper, McCarty, Kocur. If we signed Danault and had him playing with Kreids, Blais or Goodrow, could we not have an elite shut down line, leaving the Zibs and Strome lines intact to do their thing? I don’t think an Eichel deal is close. This has happened in the past - there has been smoke on some potential deals in the past.

The way this board reads, Eichel is a forgone conclusion. I think the Rangers are quiet today - some will poke fun at Drury but ultimately I think players he’s targeting will choose elsewhere. Strome eventually stays. It’s boring but the likely outcome.
