Did Finnish guy in Edmonton play with Igor at SKA
At least Igor would now finally be the concrete #1 like he deserved to be back then.

I like the "romance" and story behind a year of Hank before he hangs them up, but I expect there are better options out there.
Bringing in a VET with a real resumé has other positive upsides. I think we will go that route. But we will see
You never ever make your final offer until you have to…
Remember that about Eichel.
8X7 is the number
Chytil , Strome , Jones , Georgiev , 1st
Buffalo can flip Strome to Ottawa
take it or leave it as of noon cause NYR needs to fill out the roster

I think they’ll target Danault, the asking for Eichel is probably too high and too much uncertainty regarding his health.Today's Likely Targets (other than Nemeth). May end up with 1 or 2 of the below:
Eichel
Danault
Bottom 6 Centers:
Wenneberg
Pius Suter
Nick Bonino
Thomas Nosek
Matthias Janmark (plays all 3 positions)
Bottom Six Beef
Nick Ritchie
Ryan Reaves
I can tell you now Breadman's gonna be disenfranchised if Strome is gone. First, Blackwell, then Buch, and possibly Strome.
Tough f***ing shit. It's the NHL, not the beer league where you can pick who you play with.I can tell you now Breadman's gonna be disenfranchised if Strome is gone. First, Blackwell, then Buch, and possibly Strome.
they said a hard salary cap would control impulsive owners and GMs from outspending their meager means.Coleman looking for 6 million plus? maybe Drury did the right thing grabbing Goodrow early. I know Coleman is a bit better but he is not 2.5 million more better.
How are these guys getting such big money in this flat cap?
I def would. Eichel is an insane add. Plus Barron or Goodrow could assume the 3C duties.I wouldn't trade our #2 and #3 center in the same deal. Especially if bringing in Eichel means we can't keep Zib. I would remove Chytil in lieu of Kravtsov likely. And maybe not include Strome, but pawn Strome off to Vegas on our own. We might as well get an asset for Strome than force Buffalo to take Strome as a cap dump. In fact, if the Eichel deal is agreed to in principle, move strome before you announce Eichel.
Shesty wasn't so great last year. Too many softies from bad angles, going down too early. Not even mentioning the groin. We've shown that we have sick skill, but not nearly enough team D. Lunqdvist is a rookie, Miller needs to take a big step to become competent defensively, don't count your chickens before they hatch. And Betts was a black hole offensively while Danault can score 5 on 5. He hit a terrible dry spell in the POs.I'm going to be really pissed if we sign Danault to some insane 6M/6Y type contract. He's a f***ing 3C. I don't care if he's good at defense, our defense is going to be stacked and we have a great goalie.
Just bring Betts out of retirement and give him league minnium.
Thank god. Get him the Hell outta here. Basically covers nemeths entire cap hit on a back up"The Blueshirts are seeking to trade Alex Georgiev, whose $2.425 million cap hit is a bit pricey for a backup and who has asked the team to send him somewhere where he might compete for the No. 1 job — though apparently there has been no “official” trade demand." - Brooksie
Did I miss something? When did Georgiev ask, apparently under the table, to be elsewhere?
Agreed, but who's even interested in an overpaid backup goalie though?Thank god. Get him the Hell outta here. Basically covers nemeths entire cap hit on a back up

Wait? You’re complaining that we aren’t making moves like Chicago? Okay this schtick is just blatant trolling at this pointOk the price, but in the past week Chicago adds a top tier goaltender, a 2/3C, a top-pair D and retained a good 3/4C.
