Are you rooting for the New York Jackets? (Nash, Strahlman, Brassard, Moore, and Derek), or are you secretly (or openly) hoping they flop?

I thought I would pull for them, but have discovered a new evil and former-jilted-girlfriend side to me.

Hell no. Let Nash roast in the eternal fires of Lord Stanley's deepest pit.

No. Because if they lose this series we get at least the 19th pick.

Having said that I will root for them in the playoffs next year after (if?) the Jackets are eliminated. I love some of their players and would love to add Callahan, Hagelin, McDonagh for sure and would love to have Kreider and Miller in our prospect pool.

The ex-Jackets factor? Meh.

Torts? :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Nope. Always hated the Rags, always will, and that was before they were division rivals and before there was a team in Columbus. That, and I want the best possible pick.

Hello no! Screw the Rags. I'm not sure there is a team in sports I hate more (maybe the Yankees or possibly Patriots). I wish zero success to all former CBJ players, especially those on the NY Rags. Yes Rags. They hate the term and I love it. I still secretly chant 1940 even though Messier screwed that up. May they all rot in hell

Why all the hate for the Rangers? Except for 1994 they are hockey's equivalent of the Cubs. :laugh:

Mine stems from growing up on Long Island and being an Islanders fan from the 70's until the CBJ was born. I recognize the storied history of the Rangers but also had to deal with their fan base and the NY media for too long. I"ve always been an underdog guy and typically found the lovable band of losers (Mets, Jets, Islanders). Anyway, you didn't ask for a life story but my hatred runs deep and with my favorite player asking out of Columbus and going to the Rags... Done! Done, done, done! (couldn't find the tantrum emoticon :))

Throw in the fact draft position rides on this for 2013 and it's even easier to want them to lose.

No way. I want Dorsett Moore and Brassard to do well, I want Nash to continue to poop the bed, and I was really hoping for a sweep. Living in NY, I have to deal with Rangers whenever I go to my local sports bar to watch the Jackets. NY fans are, as a generalization, difficult to stomach.

Draft position is just gravy.

No. Any cheering for Dorsett, Brassard, Moore (and I guess Stralman) I might have is negated by Ranger Rick, who I'd hoped would continue being 0-fer in the playoffs.

It doesn't help that I like the Caps anyway and want the NYR pick to be as high as possible.
