currently have him on my fantasy keeper league with a cap, but have to decide whether to drop him (at ~ $3m/year) or Saad (at $6m/year). It is a points only league.

What is it looking like in term of his line? From other sites some project he will be on a line with Jeff Carter centering and pearson on the other wing. Will he get much PP time, and if so, on PP1 ?

110,361 goals and 234,913 assists. He will play every minute of every game in every situation.

Divide 1/3 of the Triple Crown Line's total output from the 1981/82 and then add that amount onto Jimmy Carson's goal total from the 1987/88 season. Then multiply that by the amount of power play points Luc Robitaille averaged during his first three seasons.

Once you get that number subtract the amount of times Robbie Ftorek wore a Christmas sweater as the Kings head coach. That should give you a reasonable projection.

If you still think the number is off, use the Ron Duguay factor and round to his shortest mullet length while he was a King.

realistically I think he will easily (proving no injuries) put up 28 goals (4 more than last year) and 45 assists. He should without any problems hit the 70 point mark (give or take 4 points). Will Saad? I don't know. He could.

If you have a cap, I think Toffoli is better value than Saad.

He'll probably get 2nd line ES, 2nd PP unit, and 2nd line PK minutes.

Never pick Kings players for fantasy teams.

Toffoli will be lucky to hit 25G and 25A

Best advice in the thread.

Though I do think he hits 50 points this year.

I give it a month before we hear how all the Kings suck because some idiot drafted Kopitar, Quick, or Doughty in the first round.

The Kings purposely take a dive to wreck everyone's fantasy team. If fantasy hockey didn't exist they'd be a 120 point team.

If short-handed goals are weighted he might be worth a shot.

Otherwise, here's the formula:

Where:

X = an NHL player's typical output on an NHL team
K = Points on the Kings

We calculate by using:

K = X - 15

For this season my fantasy spreadsheet predicts:
Toffoli = 94g 157a 251 pts
Carter = 92g 135a 227 pts
Pearson = 97g 117a 214 pts

..... ahhh ....... wait a second ...... ooops! ..... darn Windows 10 ..... :amazed:

Those stats are for Pierre Larouche, Michel Deziel and Jacques Cossette respectively, of the 1973-74 Sorel Black Hawks of the QMJHL. In a 70 game season Sorel outscored their opponents 620-301.

Revised prediction: Toffoli and his linemates won't quite reach those numbers. :laugh:

Toffoli DOES look like he's ready to set the world on fire, though. But he'll still get drafted way too high in fantasy.

i love watching everyone in my fantasy league draft Kings players because i know they all think they're somehow putting one over on me (the only Kings fan) by reaching for them with high picks

sadly easy to manipulate the draft when everyone overvalues players from certain teams

fantasy hockey =/= real hockey

As long as you're expecting him to be your 3rd or 4th best winger and draft him accordingly. Basically around 50 points, was +25 and had 5 SHG.

I'd definitely like to see a huge improvement on 5 points on the power play this season. Only like 3 other players in the top 80 scoring forwards had fewer than 10. Needs some power play points to pad the totals a little bit.
