yeah I thought all along if he didn't sign it meant there was a breakdown somewhere in contract talks and he wanted to test the waters in this draft, or that he was hesitant on signing due to our affiliate situation for this coming season.

Not really. B level prospect. PPG in the Q, but the Q has always been pretty high scoring. He'll get some games in the NHL at some point for sure, but who knows if he'll ever be a full timer.

There could plausibly be a games played bonus for up to $125k per season, but might as well be that the only extra he got above the minimum contract are those $50k signing bonuses, and the young players kind of need that bonus anyway just for the costs of coming up and settling down in the city.

He was well over the ppg over the last two seasons and the Q isn't the high offensive league it used to be 20+ years ago. The OHL has more goals scored per game now. I don't know why that saying about the Q is still going around. It has not been like that for a long time.
Because of his size, he's a really long shot to make the NHL.

I think we all know from experience this year how much Chris Drury’s game has fallen off. Agreed, not sure about this type of signing.
Robidas was boss tonight, great primary assist on the SHG to put the game out of reach, active around the net and probably deserved a goal. Was impressed with his skating, forechecking, and his interview after the game. Mancrush!

Updated and apparently confirmed contract info on CapFriendly. The official announcement omitted mentioning that Robidas has an assumably 10+ Games Played bonus of $80k for his final season, which may hint when they project he might be called up to NHL.
Capfriendly also has this tidbit mentioned: JUNIOR SALARY: 2023-24: $10,500
I don't think the NHL team pays this, so maybe it's there only for the viewer's pleasure to help to guess how eager the player would be for a promotion.
