That was a bit of a letdown, a bit underwhelming considering all of the big hits he's delivered over his career.

Maybe we'll get his four best poke checks or four best hustles to the bench in the next series of vids.

Yep: that's the hit on Hecht I'm talking about. Never seen anything like it since Blake was actually behind the play and only turned at the last second to deliver the ass-check as opposed to giving the shoulder which any other defender would of done.

The hits against Pittsburgh in the video are all from the same game. Blake was a monster in that contest.

It's really a shame things went down the way they did and tarnished my feelings about him because it was so much fun watching him run around and crush people.

I was at that game behind the Blues goal in the 300's and me and my buddy commented that Hecht was going to get nailed when Blake was at center ice, you could just see it coming and when he nailed him the place went bananas, probably my favorite Blake moment.

Thanks. I remember the hype of Kovalenko as a wrecking ball and he was nothing of the sort. That was probably the biggest hit of his career and he was taking not giving.

He was way over hyped.

Watching that video reminded me what a kick in the nuts that season was.
After finally making the playoffs the year before, Fiset and Store hurt in the same game and the Kings off season acquisitions ended up being disasters.
Then after all that they let the one bright spot Manny Legace, just walk away
