Wow, this is surprising, so young. He looked like a guy who liked to go to the gym and had a great persona.

RIP

Just saw that. Terrible news. He was very young. Condolences to his family.

I believe this was unexpected? I don't think it was known he was sick?

Saw that a while ago on Twitter.

I remember watching him on TSN early in his career doing sports centre. One of the best at that. Seemed like a great guy.

Rest easy.
He seemed like he would be the life of the party

He was battling cancer he had treatment a yr or two ago.

It just donned on me that he's basically been the voice of highlights & sportscenter for probably as long as I've been a fan of sports in this country.

What a massive, massive loss for Canadian sport. This sucks. I can practically hear his voice joking around with Hedger

Only 57 years old. Too young. He was great on Sportscentre and he had a real presence when hosting. RIP and condolences to his family.

So sad! I thought he was in-remission, didn’t he return to work recently?

As he says in here when he first came back, this isnt the kind of cancer where you get to ring a bell.

Guy was a gem, maybe my favourite sportscenter anchor. Watched a lot of him growing up watching sportscenter highlights before school.

Rest easy big guy.

I’m sad, this sucks! Listened to him every morning growing up. RIP to him
