The reason why I think this goal is better than the Hayes one is that both the defender and the goalie played it very well. Nash just overpowered the D-man and Nash hit it right at the edge of the post The goalie played it very well, had he spread his legs out to reach the post, he would've opened up his 5 hole. That was just an amazing goal by Nash, top 10 of the season imo.

We should just have one thread dedicated to awesome Rangers goals.

Remember when our offense sucked?

This video doesn't really do it justice. Need to see the work he did before the goal too.

Yeah that was an epic jinx.

Yeah, this. 75% of the goal wasn't in the video. That said, Hayes had the better goal.

How is Nash so good this year?

A lot of things. He's not concussed, he's lost weight, and he's changed his technique in the offensive zone. He would normally pivot and look back when faced with pressure. This year he's keeping his feet moving and trying to go past defenders.

To me, it's hard to call Hayes' goal better when the defender didn't do jack and the goalie totally failed on the poke check. Here, the defender played Nash well, but Nash just flat out overpowered the guy, and put a shot so perfect that the goalie had no chance in stopping. Hayes' goal was awesome, but had the defender been doing his job, he'd likely be flat on the ice from a solid hit.

OP obviously went over the top with the "sick" stuff. good effort and goal but i would call Hayes' goal sick far before this one.
The best part of the video is the Avs announcer, honestly.
"Rick nash, he's got an assist tonight but that's it!....annnnd score...Rick Nash...you've got to be kidding me....you have got to be kidding me."

(rangers fan btw)
