Hope he returns to full health. Nice enough guy...wish he could have been a bit more dynamic during his time in NY. But best of luck to him going forward.

Perhaps the most special player to me ever. First draft I followed as a little kid was the 2002 one, since Nash went first overall he became my favorite player and the Jackets my favorite team. I’ll never forget when he skated off the ice in the middle of warmups to sign my jersey, I’ve got autographs from him as many times as AmazingKreiderman has from Kravtsov . Once he got traded to the Rangers I instantly became a Rangers fan, and we went on some incredible runs with everything from MSL’s mom passing away then him scoring on mother’s day, all the comebacks, Zucc’s scary injury, I formed an emotional connection to this team like I had never formed with the Canucks growing up in Vancouver, and I get the added benefit of bugging my Canucks fan family about 1994 even though I wasn’t born yet. I’ll miss you Mr. Nash, wouldn’t be a Rangers fan if it weren’t for you

Always liked him, and was one of the ones who defended him. His cap hit made him look a lot worse but was still a very good two way forward for us,

He was a class act here ... hope nothing but the best for him....
Now that it official... how does everybody feel about his overall body of work?

I met him a few times at a Starbucks in midtown. He's humble and reserved but friendly when approached. I didn't tell him that I was a fan of the Rangers or of his, but he probably surmised that when I talked about the game, asked about how things are with the team, etc. It felt like a conversation among close acquaintances.

From a business standpoint, he might have been overpaid toward the end of his career, but that's the case with most stars anyway. Wish him all the best.

I didn't always love the way he played, but he was a class act and played hard every day. I wish him well and hope he fully recovers and can lead a healthy and happy life.

A unique combination of size, skill, drive, and character; he's a guy that prospects will forever be compared to and never emulate. Hopefully he finds health in his retirement.

Love this guy. Really do. He was a force when he was on his game. Even last year he was so snake bitten...which seemed to be the story of his Ranger tenure more often than not. Most snake bitten player Ive watched.

But the concussion injuries really messed him up. Somewhat similar to Lindros although not as severe. Big bodied forward who’s game was not the same after them.

He was supposed to be the superstar forward that put us over the top. And while we almost did get there in 2014 with him here we never did.

Hope he can live a healthy life moving forward

Well said.

I liked him, his acquisition was always misconstrued by a lot of fans who expected him to carry a team on his back.

Was there one concussion incident that really set Nash back? I remember Brad Stuart elbowing him on a high hit in 13'

Its a shame the way his career ended.

He did a lot of good things here, and I only wish we could have had him a year or two earlier than we got him. His biggest fault was not having an extra gear for the playoffs. However, I've always felt that was more a testament to how he approached the regular season, night in and night out, as opposed to an indictment on his playoff effort.

Whichever one it was that he got near the end of his 40 goal season with the Rangers. He was on fire that year basically all season long until that concussion and after that his shooting percentage seemed go tank hard for the rest of his time with the Rangers
