I was his biggest supporter before the start of this season. Now? I'd rather never see him again.

Completely blew that shot.
I was flipping out the moment it happened.
Got nothing on it, completely nothing.

Credit where credit is due, Voynov made a fantastic play. However how can you not blame Nash for that. That is a prime scoring opportunity for someone who is supposed to be a goal scorer. He got nothing on it and the stick was there before he released. A true goal scorer hits that. Hell, a someone who came to play hits that, not just goal scorers. Can you honestly tell me Carter, Williams, Gabby, pretty much anyone up and down the Kings lineup misses that? They all score there. Nash doesn't.

Unfortunate, but come on? He's in the right place at the right time, they just got a stick on it. Not defending his performance in the playoffs, but you put anyone else in that same spot, the same thing will happen.

That shot will haunt me.

Voynov made a good play?
He instinctively stuck his stick out.
He did nothing but be there.
I wonder if the puck would have even hit the net or Quick makes a save on it it was going so slow.

After 2 full regular/playoff seasons, I'm still boggled as to how Nash goes down so easily. The weakest skater I've ever seen in the NHL given his size.

Not really sure where you are seeing slow. And sticking out your stick and blocking a goal is a good play, lucky or not.

That puck was going in had it not been for that deflecting off the stick. Quick doesnt come close to saving it either.

3 concussions in less than a year, Lindros played the same way his 1st two years in NY. Hopefully some time away from the game will rejuvenate Nash... he needs to move back to LW and not worry about cutting into the middle, but rather cutting wide, and trying to get open.

Putting him with a big playmaking center that can create space and get him the puck is the way to maximize him now.

Puck definitely looks like it was going, shot quality be damned. At this point though we'll never know for sure so whatever.

Only way I part ways with Nash is if the return is worth it. You can't turn Dubinsky and Anisimov in to some ****** return, that is just terrible asset management.

I don't care either way, I think he bounces back nicely next season 1+ year after his concussions. Everyone seems to forget that he was just about a ppg last season. I believe that he can be a useful playoff contributor, he was incredibly snakebitten all playoff long. I am not ready to completely write off this guy, his confidence was shattered and you could read his body language and see that he didn't believe in himself.

Sucks that we lost, but imagine if this guy turns it on and becomes a force again. Add in a useful player in Richards spot and you got a team that is going back to the Finals next year. Clean slate, work hard over the offseason and come back hungrier than he has ever been and we might have a monster on our hands.

Watch the replay in real time.
He even knows he blew the shot.

Its even more a testament to how good this team actually is to get as far we did without a potent Rick Nash. That being said I'm still on the fence. I think he sticks with the team and if he isn't producing by midway through the season I think we trade him.

Katie Strang reporting he might not be a Ranger for long... Anyone hear or know anything?

Can we please stop with the concussion excuse, this is 2014 if he wasn't 100% recovered with no symptoms he wouldn't be clear to play. I also don't see how moving him to LW is going to make him any stronger on the puck.

Do spin-o-rama's work better on the left side?

Yeah I don't think getting "rid" of Nash is a very proactive move. If we can't get good value for him, we should keep him.

Nash

I think we are looking at his numbers too much.

Yes, he didn't have a great playoffs.

But he also improved as it went on. In rounds 1 and 2 he just stunk. In round 3 he started to understand what playoffs were all about. His physical and defensive play improved.

In the Finals he was matched against a rather perfect team. So you have to take your game to another level again and he didn't quite get there.

Few teams will want him or offer much for him.

Keeping him is the best option. I believe he has to improve his conditioning. At times he looked out of breath or just tired. So that will help him.

Now that he has playoff experience in a long playoff run, he knows what it takes. Mind you, Gaborik never performed this well in playoffs until this year. So it does help to gain playoff experience.

I think Nash fits in with our fast paced style of play. He also adds much needed size and is finally starting to use it. Keep him and buy out Richards!
