Yes yes and yes. He's big slow and lazy. His battle level on the boards is atrocious. The guy is a hack who I want no where near my team.

Nash is still fairly young and he doenst have too long on hsi contract so some teams would probably offer something good. I think this year the concussion really messed up his season. He still scored goals but the hits became less frequent and even hsi offensive moves werent as sharp as they were in the past. Hopefully he recharges and comes back ready to go in September

Not sure whappened to this guy. i mean all those years he played for a terrible team and still put up big numbers. When he first got to teh rangers he looked like a beast. then the concussion happened and he not only stopped hitting but he also stopped finishing as much . He has become a 7.8 million dollar Penalty killer

He's starting to look like Lindros towards the end.

He choked on the biggest stage a player can want , New York in a championship see you later you bum..

This response is typical New York. A guy doesn't perform in his first big playoff run and he gets run out of town. He had some injuries at the beginning of the year. Give him a chance to rebound next season before casting him off.

Gaborik was casted off for similar reasons and we all know how that turned out.

I dont even blame him for that shot last ngiht because the LA defenseman made a great play otherwise that would be a goal. However he has missed so many oppurtunities all postseason. I think he was one of the leaders in shots and he only score 3 goals

No

I trade for/sign a legitimate first line center for Nash to play with. It's been our #1 glaring weakness for a very long time

Yes.

This guy's an anchor around our cap space.

8M for a 3rd liner. I don't care if he was "sound defensively."

He's being paid the big bucks to score goals, and he can't do that.

He's the definition of a playoff loser.

All those years in Columbus must have conditioned him to playing golf in May and June.

Don't let the door hit you on your way out.

Nash was a failure last year too...how many excuses do you want to give him? I'm not sure about Gaborik, he did not look too dominant against the Rangers.

Gaborik was better when he was on the rangers than nash has been. Nash has 4 goals the past 2 postseasons so thats roughly 37 games. For a guy with his skill and cap hit thats not gonna cut it

No he wasn't. He was very good during the season. He went cold in the playoffs(but it was his second playoffs).

This year, however, there is no excuse for his performance. It was a bad year for Nash.

I think the organization has to at least make him available to see if there's any interest. I'm not sure what type of return he would garner or if he would waive his NTC. I can't imagine any playoff team would view him as a missing piece that would put them over the top at this point, but maybe a team like Calgary, Florida, Winnipeg, etc. would have some interest.

As I've said before, the way Nash has been lauded for his all-around play/defense in this run... well, we could have gotten the same from Dubinsky and Anisimov. It's possible they could have contributed more than him offensively, especially if Dubi played the same way he did against the Pens in the first round. Nash was supposed to be the most dynamic player and best goalscorer out of the 3 but he was barely an upgrade over them in the playoffs, if at all.

The problem is not deciding to trade Nash. The problem is who would take him? McDonagh II ain't happening.

The unwavering Nash supporters act is getting worse by the day. What stats are showing he did anything to increase the teams win expectancy/total this post season?

His playoff PDO was 98.9, which is not good and puts him at 73 out of 107 eligible players in the playoffs.

His Corsi (as a %) was 51.5%, had a -7.2% relative GF%, and a 47.4% GF%... all of these important advanced stats but in him the bottom half of the eligible players in the playoffs. That just screams successful and helping the team win in the postseason.

I would trade him, but you need to walk away and not look back. Doesnt matter if he goes on to succeed somewhere else. What the guy needs to do is go find one of these workout gurus like Gary Roberts and commit to being an athlete. He looks out of shape. His talent has gotten him far but its going to get harder as he gets older. If he loses another step, he becomes Dany Heatly. Maybe getting this close and losing makes him look inside himself and find something he hasnt found before. But the guy is becoming more and more of a perimeter player and thats no good. He seems like an odd character. He needs to be out of the spotlight. A team that needs to get to the cap floor may be interested. Buffalo? Winnipeg? Ive always been intrigued by Byfuglien. Maybe Nash for him and a bit either way or we retain a little? I was always concerned that Buf was lazy, didnt stay in shape and that his game would deteriorate, but I have all the same concerns about Nash. At least Buf brings it now, and he would be a fun guy to watch if we had the right partner to watch the back end for him.

Gaborik was better? Maybe marginally. He two great years two bad years. He NEVER in the playoffs scored a goal around the goalmouth like he did last night. He never did that ONE TIME for us.

Sick of the short memories with Gaborik. How he disappeared for weeks at a time. Guy had a great playoff run with Kopitar and Brown, he earned it. But let's not rewrite history.

Trade Nash, we will regret it. That being said, no one is untouchable. I mean if we get blown away with an offer why the hell not trade him. I wouldn't deal him for a 45 point forward, though. Doesn't he have a NMC?

You have to get rid of this guy. Worthless. If you can't perform in the stanley cup finals it's time to go.

He choked on the biggest stage a player can want , New York in a championship see you later you bum..

I'm sure everyone is feeling this sentiment right now, but it is very misguided.

Yes, we can all agree Nash did not come through when we needed him to the most, but last night he was one ****ing stick shaft away from winning it in OT and being a legend/hero. Voynov makes a great (lucky) play and saves the game. He's the hero instead.

Without Rick Nash there were no playoffs this year, and although he did not come through on the score sheet he had a good playoffs. Sometimes you need guys who step it up in the regular season just as much as you need guys who step it up in the playoffs. Hagelin was a beast, McD was amazing, Boyle was awesome, MSL was pretty good, Stralman was excellent, Henrik was Henrik. Optimally you want all of your big names to play big all year round, but not everyone is cut out for the tight hockey in the playoffs.

Lastly, Rick Nash gifted quite a few players free goals that they could not finish on the entire post-season. That's not on him.

IMHO, **** the haters because Rick Nash helped turn this team in to a top possession in the league squad and the Rangers are better with him than without. "OMG NO Goalzzzz!! 7.8 milllz11!!" doesn't even remotely come close to telling the whole story.
