Seems like pretty good odds. Not sure when momentum builds for the Jack Adam’s but bones must be in serious contention considering what he has done so far.

If he wins can we have a banner?

Maurice has more favorite odds than Bowness
Sure that would change as the season continues

Odds for Jack Adams are strange. It usually goes to a coach whose team is considered to have overachieved and/or the team who lets in the fewest goals. Coaches like Bednar and Maurice won't win it because their expectations are already high, yet they're given the highest odds of winning it. If you want to bet on the Jack Adams bet on the team you expect to have the biggest turnaround/the team with the best goalie. So, uh, Bowness could actually be a half decent pick.

Not sure why some Dallas fans hate him at this stage, I'm loving him so far at least. Coaches with structure, treats players equally, honest with the media or as honest as any coach is, etc

Eventually all fans tend to turn on their coach. Sullivan lead the Pens to back to back cups and many Pens fans have the pitchforks out now.

But yes I've like a lot of what I've seen so far. If the team keeps it up he should be in the running for coach of the year.

You're misunderstanding the thread, and I originally read it the same way and rolled my eyes as well (the title might have been a little accidentally on purpose misleading). They're not saying "Bowness will win the Jack Adams", they're saying "28:1 is nice odds". Saying it's too early or wait until February doesn't make sense in response to what's being said, if the Jets continue doing well those odds will go down heavily.

EDIT: The "he must be in serious consideration" line warrants those responses though.

You are correct, those are good odds, and I agree it is worth a wager. I guess I should have bolded the appropriate part of the post which my comment was directed at. My mistake...:booboo:
