I figured this would happen. It's not like he's been dominating in the AHL. He needs playing time & he isn't going to get it in Montreal, especially with Laine coming back soon. Roy goes down. Lineup is set. Pezz is 13th forward.

He won't get claimed.
hope he gets claimed, but you're right @ 1.1 mill; he wont

Kudos for RHP for making more money he could have ever dreamed in that 1 meaningless half season but clearly he is not NHL caliber.

Still strange to me that they put RHP and not Pezzeta on waivers

I suppose they want Pinard to find his groove back, or just to strengthen Laval. From my point of view, I don't see any real upside, and think 2 years ago was a fluke in his case. I don't see him getting claimed.

Pezzetta is fine where he is, I guess, although if they don't play him, I'd send him to Laval through waivers, too, but I think he'd get claimed.

You're right, didn't realize that if they want to keep him in Laval they eventually had to put him on waivers, my bad

His career path trajectory look like it will be similar to Belzile. A good solid AHLer who lacks that small step to fully become a NHL regular but that you can call up for a temporary stint if needed.
